See Aubrey Plaza Lounging In A Red Corset
Aubrey Plaza looks great in a red outfit on the eve of a film premiere.
Aubrey Plaza’s Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre hit theaters today, and the star took to Instagram to celebrate the occasion and promote the movie. Her slideshow includes what is presumably her character Sarah, a top operative who Jason Statham’s Orson Fortune recruits. Her costumes in the film include apparently includes a red corset, which you can see in her post below:
Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre follows super spy Orson Fortune (Jason Statham) who must prevent the sales of deadly weapons tech by a dangerous arms dealer (Hugh Grant). In order to pull off the mission, he recruits top operatives (Aubrey Plaza, Cary Elwes, and Bugzy Malone) and Hollywood’s biggest movie star (Josh Hartnett). Guy Ritchie is in the director’s chair. Ritchie also co-wrote the script with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies.
While this film didn’t get much marketing, the good news is you don’t have to wait to see Aubrey Plaza’s latest project. It’s literally in theaters right now, so you could go see it today if you wanted to. It appears that Plaza’s 2023 is already off to a good start after her stellar 2022.
Aubrey Plaza had plenty of projects come out in 2022, but none got quite as much attention as her stellar performance in HBO’s The White Lotus Season 2. The anthology series once again centered around the ultra-rich at a White Lotus resort and the staff who has to cater to them. Along with Plaza, the top-notch season also starred Jennifer Coolidge, Jon Gries, F. Murray Abraham, Adam DiMarco, Meghann Fahy, Beatrice Granno, Michael Imperioli, Haley Lu Richardson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Theo James, Will Sharpe, Simona Tabasco, Leo Woodall, and more.
Unfortunately, the anthology-like nature of The White Lotus means we probably won’t be seeing Aubrey Plaza again in Season 3 unless they decide to make her a return guest ala Jennifer Coolidge. However, we can look forward to Plaza officially joining the MCU when she appears in the Disney+ series Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Of course, Disney is being tight-lipped about what role she might be playing, so we have no idea if she’ll be playing a smaller role just for the show or if her character is a major one we can expect to see in future MCU projects.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos is also keeping its plot close to the vest, but obviously it will be about Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness, who was the primary antagonist of WandaVision. Based on the show’s ‘Coven’ title, we can probably assume there will be some other witches in the mix. This makes it seem pretty likely Plaza will be playing a fellow witch.
Along with Aubrey Plaza and Kathryn Hahn, Agatha: Coven of Chaos will also star Debra Jo Rupp, Emma Caulfield Ford, Joe Locke, Maria Dizzia, and Ali Ahn. There’s no news on a solid release date for Agatha: Coven of Chaos yet, but the series is scheduled to come out sometime in 2023. Stay tuned for more news on this and Plaza’s other upcoming projects.
