Anne Hathaway Turns Heads In Totally Transparent Dress
Anne Hathaway stunned on the red carpet of the Berlin International Film Festival, as the actress wore a completely transparent dress.
Anne Hathaway is leaving little to the imagination in a recent Instagram post by Film Daze. In two different photos, the Les Miserables actress poses in a dress composed almost entirely of cutouts that reveal the skin beneath. Don’t get too excited, though: It looks like the star is also wearing a flesh-colored, bathing suit-esque piece beneath it, keeping her from giving away too many secrets.
Anne Hathaway’s long, toned legs are still fully visible through the black netting of the dress, however, and she finished off the outfit with long, shiny black gloves that stretch up to her upper arms and classic black heels with a pointed toe.
According to the photo’s caption, they were snapped when Anne Hathaway was on the red carpet at Berlinale, one of the largest public film festivals in the world. Also known as the Berlin International Film Festival, the event featured the debut of Hathaway’s new film, She Came to Me, in which she stars as Patricia Lauddem, wife of composer Steven Lauddem. Her character pushes her creatively-blocked husband to go out in search of inspiration to get back to writing opera, with unexpected results.
The Daily Mail reports that she was joined on the red carpet by Kristen Stewart, who was wearing another eye-catching ensemble: a white gown with a fitted bodice, black floral accents, and a skirt that looked as if it could have been made out of white swan feathers. Stewart finished her look off with a shining crystal choker necklace that looked like a bow tie, along with black and white lace-up heels.
Unfortunately, no matter how gorgeous both Anne Hathaway and Kristen Stewart may have looked on the red carpet, their appearance was nearly overshadowed by a protest carried out by a group called Last Generation. Members of the environmental group wore shirts bearing the message “Stop fossil fuel madness” as they glued themselves to the red carpet.
Anne Hathaway carried on like the pro she is, however, and continued to strike her poses on the red carpet. Inside the movie premiere, she was joined by her husband, actor/jewelry designer Adam Shulman, to whom she has been married since 2012. The two like to keep their relationship on the down low, so it was a bit of a treat to see the two together in public.
According to People magazine, Anne Hathaway knew Adam Shulman was “the one” as soon as she met him, even if their initial meeting had some terrible timing. She was just getting over a breakup, but she decided to go out for a joyride with him, something that changed her entire life.
The couple dated for four years before marrying in September 2012 in a simple ceremony with just friends and family in attendance. In 2016, Anne Hathaway gave birth to the couple’s first child, Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, who was followed three years later by a little brother named Jack.
Adam Shulman keeps Anne Hathaway grounded, as she has to take on some serious roles from time to time. She has said in several interviews that he helps her to keep her characters and herself separate, so intense roles like the one she played in Serenity in 2019 don’t take too much of a toll on her.
Now that’s a good date to bring to your movie premiere!
