A new trailer for the upcoming Alison Brie film Spin Me Round just dropped and there’s a lot of making out and mystery. In the trailer, we see Alison Brie make out with both Alessandro Nivola and Tricia Helfer. We also get some hints that her dream trip to Italy might not be everything that it seems. Check out the trailer below:

In Spin Me Round, Alison Brie plays a woman who wins a trip to a company’s institute right outside Florence. She also meets the restaurant’s wealthy owner and runs into some unexpected surprises that are a little different from the trip she imagined. Along with Alison Brie, Tricia Helfer, and Alessandro Nivola, the cast also includes Aubrey Plaza, Debby Ryan, Fred Armisen, Molly Shannon, Zach Woods, Ayden Mayeri, Jake Picking, Lil Rey Howery, Lauren Weedman, Tim Heidecker, Ben Sinclair, and Ego Nwodim. Jeff Baena directs and co-writes the script with Brie. Spin Me Round is set to open in theaters and VOD on August 19.

Spin Me Round will be the first time we’ve seen Alison Brie this year since she appeared in an episode of the anthology series Roar. Roar featured different stories of what it means to be a woman today with insightful and unique plots. Brie appeared in an episode as a woman who solves her own murder. Before Roar, Brie was sticking to most voice work in 2021, lending her talents to shows like Rick and Morty, Star Wars: Visions, and Cinema Toast. While it’s always great when Brie lends her vocal talents to a project, it’s good to see her back on the screen in the live-action format again.

Alison Brie should be gracing our screens at least one more time before the year is over with Somebody I Used to Know. Somebody I Used to Know is a rom-com about a woman named Ally returning to her hometown and questioning the direction her life took when she reminisces about her ex and meets someone who reminds her of who she used to be. In addition to starring as Ally, Brie also co-writes the script with Dave Franco. Franco also directs the project. Somebody I Used to Know co-stars Haley Joel Osment, Amy Sedaris, Zoe Chao, Jay Ellis, Kiersey Clemons, Danny Pudi, Evan Jonigkeit, Julie Hagerty, Ayden Mayeri, Hannah Barefoot, Olga Merediz, Kelvin Yu, Ted Rooney, and Jeanine Jackson.

Another big project that Alison Brie has on the horizon is Freelance, which features an ex-special forces operator taking a job to protect a journalist as she interviews a dictator. A military coup breaks out, forcing them to seek refuge and survive in the jungle. Brie stars alongside Alice Eve, Christian Slater, John Cena, Marton Csokas, Juan Pablo Raba, and more. Freelance is directed by Pierre Morel and written by Jacob Lentz. Right now Freelance doesn’t have a release date. Until then, you can stream Brie’s episode of Roar on Apple TV+ and you can check out Spin Me Round when it hits theaters and VOD on August 19.
