Iconic ’80s Sci-Fi Horror Remake Getting Another Remake
Filmmaker David Bruckner will write and direct a reimagining of The Blob for Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group. David Goyer and Keith Levine from Phantom Four are set to produce the film, with Judith Harris acting as the executive producer. Harris, the widow of Jack Harris, who produced the 1958 and 1988 versions, holds the rights to the project. Zach Hamby will supervise the project for the studio.
Horror Buff David Bruckner Directing The Blob Remake
Details about The Blob reboot remain unknown, but the story is in good hands with Bruckner, whose most recent work includes the 2022 Hulu remake of Hellraiser. He also directed 2021’s critically acclaimed The Night House, featuring Rebecca Hall. Additional credits to Bruckner’s name include the 2017 film The Ritual and the Amateur Night segment in the 2012 horror anthology V/H/S.
