Zoe Saldana is one of the world’s hardest-working actresses (not to mention literally the highest-grossing one), but her social media posts often have an unpolished, casual quality to them that is enormously charming. In a recent post to her Instagram account, the Avatar: The Way of Water actress is seen posing in a mirror, taking a selfie of herself topless. It is the kind of picture that makes one realize that even an unstudied, seemingly candid shot can be truly stunning, at least if you are the insanely beautiful movie star Zoe Saldana.
Like most film stars these days, Zoe Saldana has a robust social media presence, with her Instagram account currently having nearly 10 million followers (which is more than many decently sized nations in the world, for comparison). With this post, the Star Trek actress not only gave her fans a gorgeous monochrome shot of herself with her long dark hair cascading down her bare back, but a close-up picture of herself, sans the green and/or blue makeup we often see her in. The third part of the post seems to be Zoe Saldana having an enormous amount of fun with an Instagram Reels filter that makes flames appear in the lenses of one’s glasses, which, everyone needs to find something fun.
Currently, Zoe Saldana is appearing in theaters around the world in Avatar: The Way of Water, the second installment in James Cameron’s wildly popular special effects extravaganza and science fiction epic. Prior to the release of the long-gestating film (which reportedly took five years to film, not to mention development time and post-production), Cameron had expressed some worry that his series might end prematurely if it did not get a sufficient response at the box office. However, given that the Zoe Saldana film has already made over $2 billion around the world and is currently closing in on the top spot of highest-grossing movies ever, we are definitely going to get more movies.
Zoe Saldana is already confirmed to be appearing in at least the next three Avatar movies, which will probably lock her into the role of the Na’vi character Neytiri for at least the next decade (and likely more). That is probably not a terrible thing, considering Saldana is about to close out her role as Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who she has portrayed since 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Clearly, the actress is not afraid to commit to a job for a while.
In addition to her Avatar and Marvel gigs, Zoe Saldana is going to be joining yet another of the most successful franchises in the world. She will soon be playing the lead in Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming CIA thriller series Lionness, portraying Joe, a Marine on a mission to befriend the daughter of a notorious terrorist. While the show is not confirmed to have a connection to Yellowstone, will it be all that surprising if she does show up there?
