Spider-Man’s Worst Suit Is Being Sold By Adidas
Adidas stands to lose a lot of money as the company has clearly missed the memo with players of the new Spider-Man 2 PlayStation game. The clothing brand is moving forward with one of Miles Morales’ looks and, unfortunately, it’s the most despised piece of apparel in the game.
In a move that will undoubtedly miss the mark with fans, Adidas will be pushing what’s known in the game as The Evolved Suit, a bizarre meshing of colors that include baby blue, white, red, and black.
Adidas’ Compression Shirt
Included in the Spider-Man 2-inspired outfit is a long-sleeve compression shirt with the Spidey emblem on the front. Coloring the spandex top is the red and black combo that fans associate with the teenage Avenger but throwing everyone off is the robin’s egg blue that completely clashes with the other tones.
Spider-Man’s Blue-Striped Leggings
You can’t fully shade Adidas, as the brand has completely stuck to its guns and when you see the leggings, you’ll understand what we mean. The tight piece of workout gear is all black with a long stripe of light blue down the side.
Meanwhile, the shoes that accompany the outfit are pulled directly from Miles’ Spider-Man 2 suit with the overlay of white acting as a total eye sore against the red, black, and – you guessed it – robin’s egg blue that fills in the sides and soles.
Fans Are Upset Over Miles’ Evolved Suit
While Spider-Man 2 has been a huge hit with fans, the Evolved Suit has put a cramp in everyone’s style as players everywhere have had nothing but negative things to say about the design. It doesn’t help that Miles’ hair sticks out above the mask, something that many have pointed out would be a dead giveaway to his secret identity. And then, there are those one-of-a-kind sneakers that would again stick out like a sore thumb, especially to the other kids at his school.
Adidas Has Plenty Of Other Apparel With Their Marvel Collab
But, for those eager to drape themselves in the suits worn by Peter Parker and Miles Morales aka the mighty duo of PlayStation’s latest hit, Adidas is releasing other options for their consumers. Blending Spider-Man with Venom, a previously dropped sample of one of the collection’s shoes reveals that iconic red, white, and blue color palette with a creeping black web making its way up from the bottom, representing the creeping symbiote.
Spider-Man 2 Is A Massive Hit For PlayStation
As for the game itself, Spider-Man 2 was released at the tail end of October and serves as the third installment in the series following 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Due to the immense popularity of the animated films, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, it isn’t much of a surprise that the game is performing so well that it earned the title of PlayStation 5’s third best-selling game.
The New Game Features Spidey Villains Such As Kraven The Hunter
In Spider-Man 2, fans help keep New York City safe from ever-encroaching danger as Peter Parker and Miles Morales swing to new heights. The pair deal with the pressure of their lives outside of their suits as well as the game’s big bad, Kraven the Hunter. Everyone’s favorite symbiote also appears to wreak a little havoc as Venom attaches itself to Peter Parker, shifting the hero’s attitude for the worse.
