See Sophie Turner Show Off In A Sexy Mini Dress
Sophie Turner celebrates New Year's Eve in style.
Sophie Turner is best known for her starring role as Sansa Stark on HBO’s groundbreaking fantasy Game of Thrones, but perhaps she should be known more for her scintillating fashion style. In a post to her very popular Instagram account (currently at over 14 million followers), the actress revealed the tiny black minidress she wore for her New Year’s Eve celebration, along with photos of her and a number of fabulous friends partying the night away.
In this particular social media carousel, we begin with Sophie Turner striking a pose in a hallway, kicking up one leg while holding what looks like a can of Coca-Cola in a hand. The dress itself is solid black and belted at the waist, almost resembling a very short trenchcoat. The next several photos get pretty blurry, but it was New Year’s Eve, so we will have to excuse whoever was kind enough to take pictures for Sophie Turner.
First, we see the X-Men star standing in what looks like a library with a bunch of her friends grinning at the camera, caught in what seems like a truly candid moment. We next see more blurry pictures, this time in a loose grid pattern, followed by picture after picture of Sophie Turner’s friends having a really good time. You kind of get the idea after a few slides but check out that dress: it’s quite the look.
Sophie Turner played Sansa Stark, the oldest daughter of an ancient house in Westeros, in all eight seasons of Game of Thrones. Along with Maisie Williams, Kit Harington, and Isaac Hempstead-Wright, she was one of the sole surviving members of the Stark family by the end of the show, eventually ending up as the de facto ruler of the North. Sophie Turner was frequently a source of controversy with the show, with her character becoming a cultural discussion point about the treatment of women in the show for some and others criticizing what was seen as inconsistent characterization.
Beginning with 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse, Sophie Turner began portraying Jean Grey (previously portrayed by Famke Janssen) in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men franchise, which she continued to the final film in the series, 2019’s Dark Phoenix. There is currently no word whether Sophie Turner might reappear as Jean Grey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point, but considering that the studio appears to be trying to get everyone who has ever appeared in a Marvel-adjacent movie to show up for Avengers: Secret Wars, it is definitely a possibility.
More recently, Sophie Turner appeared in last year’s hit Netflix dark comedy film Do Revenge alongside Maya Hawke and Camila Mendes, as a wealthy and cruel student at a private school who comes into conflict with the pair. A scene of her screaming in Maya Hawke’s face almost immediately became a popular meme, which shows that Sophie Turner can show a little more range than Sad Sansa if she is given the opportunity to.
