Well, the day came that we never thought would as The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Modern Family star Sofia Vergara is separating from her husband of seven years, True Blood actor, Joe Manganiello.

In a statement initially released to Page Six, the duo broke the news to their dedicated following saying, “As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect for our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
For anyone locked in on Vergara’s social media presence, the divorce comes as a huge surprise with fans taking to Twitter to share their shock, awe, and even excitement over the news.
While some reached out to give their support to the couple, many took it as a time to shoot their shot with the bombshell actress. One Twitter user said that he was going to “put his bid in” as Sofia Vergara has taken to her socials to share revenge-worthy shots of her drop-dead gorgeous looks.
Another pointed out that it’s been a wild week for celebrities as Ariana Grande and her husband Dalton Gomez also announced their separation and Lindsay Lohan welcomed her first bundle of joy. Meanwhile, Dylan Sprouse tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend and model, Barbara Palvin.
Others made jabs at Pete Davidson who’s known for sweeping famous women off their feet, dedicating tweets to the Saturday Night Live and The King of Staten Island performer’s reaction to not only the news that Sofia Vergara was now single but also that his ex-fiancee, Ariana Grande was also out of her relationship.
Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello were first introduced through the former’s Modern Family co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson back in 2014 during the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. While sparks flew between the pair, Vergara was engaged to another suitor at the time but when they separated, Manganiello reached out to Ferguson for Vergara’s phone number.
What started as an easy-going courtship turned into a full-blown romance with the pair getting married in Palm Beach in 2015.

Celebrating the arrival of a handful of projects, the America’s Got Talent judge will soon appear on the big screen in Josh Greenbaum’s comedy feature Strays alongside a list of A-list stars that include names like Will Ferrell, Jamie Foxx, Isla Fisher, Harvey Guillén, Will Forte, Randall Park, and Josh Gad.
After making a name for herself in the hit series Modern Family, Sofia Vergara will also soon be returning to TV in the Netflix miniseries Griselda. Based on the life of Griselda Blanco, Vergara will play the cutthroat cocaine trafficker in the Andrés Baiz-directed project.
