Zoe Kravitz is pretty active on social media, sharing several magazine covers and behind-the-scenes photos with fans. In her latest post, the actress is seen at a glamorous Yves Saint Laurent event for the fashion house’s Black Opium fragrance. As the face of the iconic perfume, the 34-year-old looked sophisticated in a form-fitting, black velvet dress with white lacy ruffled sleeves.
Along with a plunging neckline, the midi-dress featured large gold buttons which complimented The Batman star’s modest jewelry choices. Zoe Kravitz paired the outfit with black tights and high heels, and she kept her hair and makeup simple which highlighted her natural beauty. Inside the London event, the actress was spotted with celebrities like Abbey Lee Kershaw and Layton Williams, the Daily Mail reports.
Zoe Kravitz has partnered with Yves Saint Laurent for seven years and has no plans to quit any time soon. Speaking to Essence in 2022, she discussed all the things she loves about being a Global Ambassador for the fashion brand. “I work with truly wonderful people, and I’ve had the opportunity to go to some really amazing places,” she said.
When Zoe Kravitz shot the Black Opium campaign, she traveled to Thailand and Japan and described the experience as incredible. But what she loves most about working with YSL Beauty is the brand’s focus on embracing individuality. “I get to be a part of representing and inspiring people when it comes to their beauty journey,” she explained.
Zoe Kravitz, who stepped into the beauty realm when she was just 15, also wants people to do what makes them happy in terms of beauty. “As much as I love that people look to me as an icon, I want them to look to themselves for inspiration, she told Essence. She added that she wants to represent individuality and uniqueness so she’s glad to be partnered with a brand that supports that idea.
Her relationship with the designer label extended to her stunning albeit controversial 2021 Met Gala outfit. For the event, the actress wore a plunging, see-through mesh dress which critics hated. Zoe Kravitz later commented on the media frenzy by likening the situation to brainwashing. “Being uncomfortable with the human body is brainwashing.
It’s just a body. We all got ’em,” she said.
When she’s not making headlines as a fashion icon, the 34-year-old can be found working on her next big movie. Following the success of The Batman, where she appeared opposite Robert Pattinson, the actress decided to flex her skills behind the camera in Pussy Island. The movie is directed by Zoe Kravitz from a script she co-wrote with E.T. Feigenbau.
Billed as a thriller, the story follows a cocktail waitress named Frida who becomes infatuated with a tech mogul. But when she travels with him to his private island, things begin to go terribly wrong. Although Zoe Kravitz doesn’t appear in the film, it still features a stellar cast led by Naomi Ackie as Frida and Channing Tatum as Slater King.
Simon Rex as Cody, Christian Slater, Geena Davis, Adria Arjona, Haley Joel Osment Kyle MacLachlan, Alia Shawkat, and Liz Caribel Sierra also star. The Zoe Kravtiz-directed movie does not have a release date at this time.
