Sofia Vergara created a funny video of her running that shows the difference between social media and reality, which the Modern Family actress posted on Instagram.
“Never let the facts get in the way of a good story!” jokes Sofia Vergara in a recent Instagram post. The actress is dressed in a purple pants suit as she shows the difference between “Instagram vs. Reality.” The first segment shows the sexy actress gracefully bounding across the room in slow motion, while the second, more comical half shows her running like a normal person, which is, suffice it to say, a lot less impressive.
Comments on the post range from laughing emojis to a chorus from Barney Stinson’s famous “The Boobs on the Bus” song from How I Met Your Mother, but overall, everyone seemed to appreciate the actress’ comedic chops as well as her physical attributes.
This honestly mildly unflattering look was unusual for the bombshell actress, who is known for her curve-hugging fashion choices that always accentuate her enviable assets. Just a few days ago, Giant Freakin Robot reported on the black and white checkered dress Sofia Vergara wore to the taping of Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love, a tribute to beloved comedienne Carol Burnett.
Unlike the purple outfit that covered most of her body in her fun, goofy Instagram post, the dress she wore for the Carol Burnett taping showed plenty of skin with a strapless design, a split up the center of the skirt, and a plunging neckline to show off her cleavage. She finished off the look with stilettos with such a slender, pointed heel that everyone marveled over the fact that she could not only walk in them but walk in them with such poise.
Sofia Vergara’s character, Gloria, on Modern Family was quite the fashionista, which is something she apparently shares with the real-life actress. Another thing the two share is a blended family. Like Gloria, Sofia Vergara has a son from a previous marriage named Manolo. His father, Joe Gonzalez, was Vergara’s high school sweetheart, and the two got married at just 18 years old. In 1991, they had Manolo, but their love ultimately didn’t stand the test of time, and the two divorced when their son was two years old.
“We’re still close friends,” Sofia told Parade magazine in an interview, but now the actress’ heart belongs to Joe Manganiello of Magic Mike fame. The two have been married since 2015, and Manganiello gets along very well with Manolo.
This relationship, though, almost never came to be. According to Joe Manganiello, Sofia Vergara spent the entirety of their first date telling him all the reasons why they could never be together. She said he was too young for her (she is only four years older) and cited his being an actor as a red flag. She had also just ended another relationship, and Manganiello knew that she had been planning to be single for a while before jumping into anything new. “But we knew right away,” he said, “and she knew she was screwed.”
So, Sofia Vergara just had to accept the fact that she and the also-very-hot actor were just meant to be. It must have been terribly difficult for her!
