Sarah Michelle Gellar is schooling everyone on how to make a fashion statement. In a recent Instagram post, she showed off her legs in a sexy schoolgirl outfit by Thom Browne with a short, black skirt and blazer with a pink-striped tie over a white collared shirt and black high heels.
It is hard to believe that Sarah Michelle Gellar is 45 years old as she poses with her hand on her hip and her hair pulled back in a low ponytail and her bangs swept to the side. She really does look like a student from a high-class boarding school in her black jacket with white buttons and accents.
The actress added the caption “We are revolting children, living in revolting times,” a song lyric from the Tony Award-winning Matilda: The Musical, based on the beloved children’s book Matilda by Roald Dahl. This musical, unfortunately, does not star Sarah Michelle Gellar, but recently made its Netflix debut on December 9, 2022.
Even if Sarah Michelle Gellar is quoting a children’s play, many commenters on her post argue that her outfit is more reminiscent of her much more adult role in 1999’s Cruel Intentions. In that film, Gellar plays conniving teen Kathryn Merteuil, who makes a bet with her stepbrother Sebastian (Ryan Phillippe) that he must seduce their school headmaster’s virginal, good-girl daughter Annette (Reese Witherspoon) before the end of summer break.
In real life, Sarah Michelle Gellar is much kinder and easier to get along with. She has been married to her I Know What You Did Last Summer co-star Freddie Prinze, Jr. for 20 years, making them one of Hollywood’s cutest and most enduring couples. The two have two children together, a daughter and a son.
Recent roles for the actress include 2022’s Clerks III and Netflix’s Do Revenge, in which she plays the headmaster of an elite high school filled with catty drama not unlike the one in Cruel Intentions.
Sarah Michelle Gellar is also set to star in the upcoming series Wolf Pack on Paramount+ in 2023. Her character is named Kristin Ramsey, an arson investigator whose goal is to track down an arsonist who started a blazing wildfire in California that also just so happened to wake up a dangerous supernatural entity.
The series is based on a book series written by Canadian author Edo van Belkom. It will also delve into the lives of Everett and Blake, played by Armani Jackson and Bella Shepard, whose world is turned upside down by the paranormal events happening in their town.
Armani and Shepard both say that Sarah Michelle Gellar’s character is a standout. Jackson says that audiences are “not ready for Ramsey,” while Shepard says that the character is a total “bada**.”
Sarah Michelle Gellar has also been up to some badassery in her real life. Recently, she spoke up at the Power of Women summit about working in the toxic environment of a male-dominated set. While the set in question is believed to have been that of Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she did not name names. But she did say that women were “pitted against each other” to keep them from joining together and becoming more powerful and having more of a voice.
Now, though, Sarah Michelle Gellar says that she has been able to work with so many more women and has seen that it can actually be an easy, fun, and empowering experience.
