Maya Hawke posted an image on Instagram of her in a tank top showing off her bare midriff, while making a hilarious joke.
Maya Hawke has become one of the best actresses in the world, especially as Robin in Stranger Things, and while the tone of the series is more dramatic, she could have a budding career in stand-up comedy if she chose. Hawke posted a new image, which you can see below, on her Instagram that shows her in a tank top and bare midriff. However, it looks as though she has engaged in the worst Photoshop skills, as her caption reads, “Why hasn’t this new iPhone effect caught on?”
No disrespect to Maya Hawke at all, as she still looks amazing in her two-piece outfit, but she is certainly not all glammed up like she is going out or engaging in some sort of red carpet-event. Her caption just proves her hilarious self-awareness at the fact that most people use filters to look different on social media apps and crop themselves in rather odd situations. Clearly, her joke and her natural beauty were enough to have the above image pull in a whopping 655,000 likes, and nearly 1,400 comments of people either loving her look or laughing at her joke.
Maya Hawke has been a bit of the comic relief in Stranger Things, as she plays the fan-favorite Robin character, who is going to be back for the fourth season. However, the Duffer Brothers have promised that more characters will certainly be meeting their ends when the fifth and final season rolls around. We certainly hope that Hawke’s character is not going to be one of the ones that have to die heroically, but we would understand if she did.
Apart from returning to the world of Stranger Things, Maya Hawke is also set to star in the new Wes Anderson movie, Asteroid City. She joins a cavalcade of huge stars that includes Margot Robbie, Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Carell, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Bryan Cranston, Willem Dafoe, and so many more. The movie will release on June 23, 2023.
Maya Hawke also has a whopping four other projects in the works apart from Asteroid City, including one where she is set to join her father, Ethan Hawke. The pair will star in a movie called Revolver, which follows a lovestruck Beetles fan who attempts to sneak into the Alaskan hotel that the band is staying in, in hopes that she can meet George Harrison. We are not sure who Ethan will be portraying in the movie, but we would imagine that Maya is going to be playing the role of the fan.
Maya Hawke has proven that she can carry any role she takes on with the utmost passion and grace, and she clearly has the humor behind her to also make everyone laugh uncontrollably. We cannot wait to see her in her many upcoming roles, especially Revolver, because she will finally be doing a movie with her father. One day we would hope that she could also land a role in a movie with Ethan and Uma Thurman, which would be fantastic.
