Sarah Michelle Gellar is having an excellent vacation. She’s been showing off the fun in her latest social media updates, letting fans know that she’s celebrating life in Los Cabos, Mexico on a trip with her circle of friends. In her most recent post, the 44-year-old actress poses for two selfies, showing off her fashionable black bikini and gold-rimmed aviators.

Today, Sarah Michelle Gellar frequently updates her 3.8 million Instagram followers on the ins and outs of her personal life. While it isn’t entirely clear what it is that her and her friends are celebrating, her posts do say that her friends were making her celebrate her “anniversary”. While that could have an anniversary for anything, her post just before that explained that she was celebrating her 25 year anniversary of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. It’s assumed this may be the cause for her trip, which is certainly something to celebrate.
While Sarah Michelle Gellar has had many major roles in her long career, and is still working today, Buffy will always be a major part of her work. She starred on the show for seven seasons, and it took up a considerable amount of her time. In most of her interviews today, she’s still asked questions about her time as the vampire slayer.

A lot of these roles that cemented her career on screen happened long ago, and some of them are already getting reboots. I Know What You Did Last Summer recently had a reboot series on Amazon, which has unfortunately already been canceled. Sarah Michelle Gellar reprised her role as Kathryn from Cruel Intentions for a TV movie in 2016. These days, IMDb TV is planning a reboot for the movie, with none of the original stars currently involved.
Meanwhile, Sarah Michelle Gellar has been doing a lot of voicework projects. She played Seventh Sister in Star Wars: Rebels. She voiced multiple characters for Robot Chicken. More recently, she played Teela in Kevin Smith’s Masters Of The Universe: Revelation, a He-Man series on Netflix. The role saw her working with stars like Lena Headey, Mark Hamill, Henry Rollins, and Alicia Silverstone.
While we don’t see Sarah Michelle Gellar in live-action as often these days, her millions of followers are keeping an eye on her via her Instagram. It’s good to see that the Buffy star is still doing well, and appears to be celebrating her time on the show all these years later.
