NCIS Actor Arrested And Charged With Multiple Assaults Against Women

Actor Gabriel Olds, best known for his work on NCIS: Los Angeles and The Eyes of Tammy Faye, has been arrested and charged for his part in a series of sexual assaults around Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the 52-year-old actor was charged with several counts of s*xual assault before being issued a $3.5 million bond for his arrest. Olds was taken into custody on August 7 in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Crestwood Hills.

According to a report filed by a 41-year-old woman, Gabriel Olds allegedly raped one of his victims in her L.A. home in 2023.

On July 19, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office charged Olds with seven felony s*xual assault charges. His charges include three counts of forcible rape, one count of rape of an unconscious or asleep person, one count of sodomy by use of force, one count of assault with intent to commit a felony, and one count of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child’s parent. The Los Angeles Superior Court then issued a warrant for his arrest, carried out during his arrest in early August.

The actor had the charges brought against him following an investigation by the LAPD. According to a report filed by a 41-year-old woman, Gabriel Olds allegedly raped one of his victims in her L.A. home in 2023. Following the report, police say two additional victims came forward regarding separate attacks that took place in 2013.

In a statement, Detective Brent Hopkins from the Special Assault Section described the attacks as starting as consensual relationships but quickly spiraling into violent sexual assaults. “We heard the same story again and again,” Detective Hopkins said. “Mr. Olds started off charming, but then used brutal violence to carry out these rapes.”

According to police, Gabriel Olds used his stature as an Ivy League graduate and Hollywood actor to arrange meetings with his victims.

Continuing his statement, Detective Hopkins alluded to the possibility of further investigations into Olds. “Some of these survivors suffered in silence for years before finding the strength to speak up. Now that he’s off the streets, we want to make sure everyone has a chance to be heard.”

According to police, Gabriel Olds used his stature as an Ivy League graduate and Hollywood actor to arrange meetings with his victims. As a native of New York, Olds attended Yale University before beginning his film and television career in the 1990s. Olds has made brief appearances on TV shows, including Law & Order, Party of Five, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

In perhaps the biggest role of his career, Gabriel Olds was selected to portray famous televangelist Pat Robertson in The Eyes Of Tammy Faye. The 2021 film earned Jessica Chastain the Oscar for her performance as the titular character.

The LAPD says that Olds utilized unnamed dating apps to meet his victims. Using his television and film experience, Olds’ victims reported that the actor would lure each of them into a false sense of security by boasting about his work before commencing his attacks.

The LAPD has not ruled out further charges for Olds, reporting that they have been in contact with two additional potential victims. Based on Olds’ history of traveling throughout his career as an actor, police believe that the actor may have victims outside of Los Angeles as well. Authorities have also asked for any assistance from the public to help bring additional victims or witnesses forward while continuing to investigate Gabriel Olds.

As of August 9, updated details on Olds’ plea or court case have not yet been made available. If convicted, Olds faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
