Millie Bobby Brown is keeping it retro in a shiny black sequined crop top in a recent Instagram post. In the first of two photos, the Stranger Things star is laughing with her boyfriend, Jake Bongiovi, which seems appropriate, seeing as the caption reads “blondes have more fun anyway.” In the second photo, she gives a clearer view of her outfit, complete with retro-style jeans and an exposed belly button, as she dons a pair of thick sunglasses with blue accents.
The young actress has been living her best life the past few years, ever since her role as Eleven on Stranger Things catapulted her to fame. In another Instagram post on her account, Millie Bobby Brown noted that 2022 was a particularly good year for her, and that she is grateful for “my friends, family, donkey (bernard), my doggies, my puppies teeth, and my partner for life. here’s to another year with you and the wonderful people and animals around us.”
The “partner for life” in question is Jake Bongiovi, with whom things have apparently grown very serious since they first became Instagram official back in November 2021. According to Elle, the two have been linked since June of that year, when they were seen strolling hand-in-hand in New York City. It must have been serious even then, because Bongiovi was photographed carrying Millie Bobby Brown’s poodle Winnie, who helps her feel less anxious while traveling.
If the name “Bongiovi” sounds familiar to you, it’s because Millie Bobby Brown’s boyfriend, whose full name is Jacob Hurley Bongiovi, is the son of the Bon Jovi – Jon Bon Jovi, that is. At 19 years old, he is the youngest of Bon Jovi’s four children with his wife, Dorothea Hurley, who he has been in love with since high school and married in 1989. That kind of dedication bodes well for Brown and Bongiovi’s relationship.
Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi met on Instagram and then, in Brown’s words, “we were friends for a bit, and then, what can I say?” Since they made their relationship public, they have attended several events together, such as the EE British Academy Film Awards, the Stranger Things Season 4 premiere, and the premiere of her latest Netflix film, Enola Holmes 2.
But it isn’t all about romance for Millie Bobby Brown. She both stars in and executive produced Damsel, an upcoming fantasy film about a young woman who agrees to marry a dashing prince. Things are not what they seem, though, and she discovers that the royal family plans to use her as a sacrifice to repay a debt. She is then tossed into the den of a dragon and must rely only on herself to escape.
Millie Bobby Brown will also make her first appearance as the star in a theatrical release in 2024. She will be leading an ensemble cast in The Electric State, a science-fiction film based on a graphic novel. It is about a girl whose missing brother sends her a robot, which she uses to help her find him.
Then, of course, there is the final season of Stranger Things to work on. We just hope she has enough time to film it between everything else going on in her successful career and love life!
