Millie Bobby Brown Announces Engagement To Longtime Boyfriend
Millie Bobby Brown and her boyfriend Jake Bongiovi are engaged.
Eleven is getting married. BBC reports that 19-year-old Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Jake Bongiovi. The actress posted a picture of herself and Bongiovi to Instagram with the caption, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”
The black and white photo shows Millie Bobby Brown smiling broadly and showing off a brand new engagement ring. Bongiovi, an up-and-coming actor and son of New Jersey rocker Jon Bon Jovi is also wearing a wide smile in the picture of the two lovebirds. The 20-year-old also shared the news on his own Instagram, along with some photos of the couple together and the caption “forever.”
The announcement came after weeks of speculation online about whether the couple had become engaged or not. Millie Bobby Brown had hinted at the couple’s commitment as early as January of this year when she called Bongiovi her “partner for life.”
The couple didn’t give a date for their impending nuptials, but unless they elope, it probably won’t be anytime soon. The success of Stranger Things catapulted Millie Bobby Brown into the limelight, and the actress has pretty much worked non-stop since. Brown is currently involved with three different projects, Stranger Things, Enola Holmes, and the Godzilla MonsterVerse series of movies, including Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong.
While the next season of Stranger Things will also be its last, Brown’s other two franchises are continuing indefinitely. On top of that, several Stranger Things spinoffs have been announced, including a prequel and animated series. One spinoff is supposedly based around Eleven, meaning Millie Bobby Brown will pick up her Eggo waffles again even after season 5 of Stranger Things ends.
Meanwhile, Millie Bobby Brown has four other non-franchise acting projects coming up, two of which the actress is also producing. Brown will be pulling double duty on Damsel, an upcoming fantasy film where she has to escape the clutches of an evil dragon, and The Girls I’ve Been. Girls stars Brown as a con artist named Nora who uses her con-artist abilities to get herself and her pals out of danger.
In addition to the projects above, Brown will appear on screen in The Electric State, the new science fiction movie by Anthony and Joe Russo. The Russo brothers are making sure to cast their next blockbuster with lots of high-profile actors like Chris Pratt, who the brothers already worked with on Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. Along with Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown, The Electric State will also feature Brian Cox of Succession fame and Ke Huy Quan, star of Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Bongiovi for his part, also has some upcoming projects, including the films Rockbottom and Sweethearts. With both actors working so much, it will be hard for the two of them to find the time to plan a wedding. Luckily there is no shortage of celebrity wedding planners that would jump at the chance to plan the wedding of Millie Bobby Brown.
