The British actress recently posted a sexy reel of herself, along with other actresses and models, showing off her new florence by mills collection. According to the florence by mills website, the company is named for Millie Bobby Brown’s late great-grandmother who the website calls “a woman who embraced herself and did things that made her happy all her life.” Fittingly, her beauty line is meant as a rejection of traditional beauty standards, with the goal of freeing women to create their own looks.
Her beauty line isn’t the only way in which Millie Bobby Brown pays tribute to the women who came before her. A year after she founded florence by mills, as reported by People, Brown’s grandmother tragically lost her battle with Alzheimer’s. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the star wasn’t able to say goodbye to her grandmother before her passing.
Millie Bobby Brown has since been often sighted with the tattoo of her grandmother’s first name, Ruth, tattooed in cursive to her right side. Like she does of her great-grandmother, Brown spoke glowingly of her grandmother, calling her a “guardian angel” to her.
The actress’ work has proven to be its own kind of guardian angel to the streaming service Netflix. Facing huge subscriber drops and other woes, this past year the streamer was buoyed by the two-part release of Stranger Things Season 4, which saw Millie Bobby Brown and the rest of the lead cast return after a three-year break. The new season wound up being a hit, with new heroes like Joseph Quinn‘s Eddie Munson and the horrifying new villain Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower).
Millie Bobby Brown and the rest of the Stranger Things cast are expected to film the show’s fifth and final season early in 2023, with its streaming premiere likely coming in 2024. There have been various reports and rumors about possible spinoffs, including solo series that would potentially focus on Brown’s hero. So far, nothing official has been confirmed about an Eleven spinoff or any other follow-ups.
