See Maya Hawke Showing Off Her Long Legs In A Terrifying Holiday Costume
Stranger Things star Maya Hawke recently shared her pre-Christmas celebration on social media, including a photo of her in a horrifying light-up mask. The star’s Instagram gallery showed off an incredible tree, some cookies, and long legs that seemingly go on for days draped over a chair. The daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, Maya started off her career modeling, which is readily apparent from the reactions she garners on social media with those legs.
Comments on Maya Hawke’s post are also wondering what is going on with her Christmas tree. A few fans compared it to the famous tree from A Charlie Brown Christmas, which made an impact based on how sad it looked on stage. The star is apparently unfazed, choosing inside to highlight the fun that can be had by scaring uncles with a spooky light-up mask.
Maya Hawke’s most famous role to date is as Robin Buckley in Stranger Things, first appearing in season 3 as the Scoops Away co-worker of Steve Harrington (played by Joe Keery). In season 4, Robin gets more involved in the main plot, joining forces with Nancy to get to the bottom of Vecna’s influence over Hawkins, Indiana. That investigation includes Robin venturing into the Upside-Down, exploring a twisted version of the Creel House.
As for the actress herself, Maya Hawke has been busy since making her acting debut in 2017. Her first role was as Jo Marsh in a BBC adaptation of Little Women. While Stranger Things led to the star’s breakout in 2019, that same year she also had a role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood as “Flowerchild.” One year later, she starred opposite Andrew Garfield in the dramedy Mainstream, which unfortunately was a box office bomb.
In addition to starring in movies, Maya Hawke is also an accomplished recording artist. Her first album, Blush, was released on August 21, 2020, to critical acclaim, with the thoughtful lyrics receiving praise. Hawke performed on The Today Show as a musical guest in August of that year, marking the first time she had done so.
Maya Hawke released a second album, Moss, on September 23, 2022. Again, Hawke received praise, with critics highlighting the lyrics and her vocal performance. In support of the album, the singer-songwriter announced that she would go on tour in 2023.
Just like her father, who made his MCU debut in Moon Knight, Maya Hawke will soon be joining up with Marvel in an undisclosed guest-starring role on Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, an animated series. The strange cartoon will follow the adventures of Lunaelle Lafayette, Moon Girl, when she brings Devil Dinosaur into modern-day New York, with the series described by Disney as a complement to the MCU. Several obscure characters, including Allison Brie as Aftershock and Laurence Fishburne as The Beyonder, will make appearances, which means Hawke’s character could be almost anyone from Marvel comics.
Besides lending her voice to a Marvel cartoon, Maya Hawke will also be part of Wes Anderson’s upcoming film, Asteroid City. The romantic comedy-drama is supposed to have a larger ensemble than usual Anderson films, which are already noted for their large casts, though audiences can decide for themselves when Asteroid City premieres on June 23, 2023.
