Lily Collins has a movie that’s performing really on Netflix right now, one in which her performance really helps carry things. It’s been just another addition to an incredibly successful career for the actress who’s now been putting up an excellent performance for more than a decade in the business. Heck, considering her background, the actress has spent basically lifetime understanding how to handle fame. And self-promotion is part of the gig.

Recently, Lily Collins took to Instagram to show off some style choices on her way to a guest spot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The post instantly garnered significant attention and at the time of this writing was already nearing three quarters a million likes on the social media platform.  She looks brooding enough considering this show trends on the funnier side. But alas, such is the name of the game when maintaining the right image.

Lilly Collins went on The Tonight Show talking with Jimmy Fallon to talk about her latest movie Windfall which is performing really well on Netflix. It’s currently sitting at number four worldwide on the streamer in their movie section, having just released this week. The movie is an insular one that basically just stars Collins alongside Jesse Plemons and Jason Segel. It’s a part psychological thriller, part commentary on our tech-driven culture around wealth and power.

In Windfall, Lily Collins plays the wife to Jesse Plemons and it’s important to know that none of the characters are actually ever given names in the film. Plemons is simply “The CEO”, the founder of some unnamed company that’s made him billions (and many more billions) of dollars over the years. The two take an impromptu trip to their gorgeous (and secluded) vacation home only to find Segel’s “Nobody” having shacked up there momentarily. Caught in the middle of a mini-robbery, what ensues is something of a cat-and-mouse game of wits as Segel’s character tries to extort money from Plemons and Collins.

Though Windfall is performing well on Netflix, critics were a bit lukewarm on the movie as a whole. It’s currently sitting at 58% on Rotten Tomatoes. Most agreed that the performances from Lily Collins, Jason Segel, and Jesse Plemons were first-rate with just the story letting the movie down overall. The message from the flick had a bit of trouble sticking the landing even though the three leads definitely held down their ends of the bargain.

Next up for Lily Collins are a few interesting productions that might just be a bit off the beaten path for the actress. The first is Halo of Stars which will have her starring as a circus performer. And then there is Titan from writer and director Austin Bunn. Casting on this one is still coming, but Collins will star as a woman seeking to uncover the truth about the death of her sister. That movie is currently in pre-production. Finally, she is set to star in Gilded Age with Christoph Waltz about the murder of Thomas Gilbert.
