British-American actor Lily Collins may be best known for her work in film and television projects on a global scale, but it’s her sense of style that seems to get the most attention these days. As high-profile A-list celebrities like Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Jonathan Majors, Olivia Wilde, Kerry Washington and Selena Gomez walked the red carpet at the 2022 Academy Museum Gala last weekend, many heads turned as Lily Collins joined the fashionable group of performers. Showing off in a bra and sheer top at the gala, the Emily in Paris star seemed to be all smiles while draped in a rose-printed skirt and strutting her stuff in Christian Louboutin platform shoes that were surely the talk of the evening.
With husband Charlie McDowell walking alongside side of her, Lily Collins arrived to the Academy Museum Gala looking fresh and ready for a night of fun, as many of the celebrities attended for a good cause to honor the museum’s achievements. According to Footwear News, Collins’ silk skirt she wore to Saturday evening’s festivities was designed by Dior and is straight out of their Fall 2023 collection, flanked by a black bra, Cartier rings, and pink drop earrings to add a pop of color to an otherwise black ensemble. As for her shoes, Collins went bold with a pair of black Christian Louboutin platform sandals that incorporated a 4 inch heel and black suede uppers with a buckled ankle strap.
Some of those in attendance at the Academy Museum Gala held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles over the weekend were promoting upcoming projects that will soon hit theaters and subscription streaming platforms. For Lily Collins, the third season of her critically acclaimed and popular television series Emily in Paris is due to be released on Netflix on December 21, while her director husband Charlie McDowell will soon begin filming Gilded Rage with Collins, Christoph Waltz, and Bill Skarsgard starring in the film. Other well-known stars at the gala Julia Roberts and George Clooney are celebrating the North American premiere of their new romantic comedy, Ticket to Paradise, set to hit theaters this Friday, which also stars Kaitlyn Dever.
The second annual Academy Museum Gala was noted for celebrating the new museum’s role in strengthening the movie scene in Los Angeles and Hollywood as a whole, as celebrities in attendance helped raise $10 million in donations for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, according to Variety. In addition to stars like Lily Collins and Julia Roberts, who was honored with the museum’s Icon Award that evening, other celebrities attended the annual event like Pearl star Mia Goth, Rebel Wilson, Hailey Bieber, Emma Stone, Keke Palmer, and HoYeon Jung. Chaired by Lupita Nyong’o, Halle Berry, Ryan Murphy, and horror producer Jason Blum, other recipients of awards at the well-attended gala included Tilda Swinton, who was honored with the Visionary Award, and 12 Years of Slave director Steve McQueen, who took home the Vantage Award.
