Kevin Costner Divorce Gets Extremely Nasty In New Development
It’s rare to see a clean divorce without any drama, especially in the Hollywood spotlight, and Kevin Costner’s divorce from his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner has been no exception. As the former Yellowstone actor continues to try and kick his ex-wife out of their previously shared home, Baumgartner continues to make things difficult for him, according to Radar. It seems that Kevin Costner keeps giving money to his ex-wife, but it is just not enough to get her to leave their $145 million estate.
What Kevin Costner’s Prenuptial Says About the Marital Home
According to the couple’s prenuptial agreement, if the two were to get divorced, Baumgartner would need to vacate their home within 30 days of the divorce being filed. It has now been well over 30 days since Baumgartner filed for divorce back in May, but she is refusing to leave the estate until Kevin Costner pays her more money.
Most recently, she has agreed to move out of the home on August 31, if her former husband pays her a court-ordered amount of money that will be determined on July 12.
Also in accordance with the prenuptial agreement, Kevin Costner gave his estranged wife $1 million, but Baumgartner is refusing to touch the money. If she uses any of it, then she will supposedly forfeit any ability to contest the validity of the agreement.
This implies that she wants to fight the previously agreed upon contract and try to get more money from her former husband.
According to reports, Kevin Costner’s wife continues to prolong her evacuation of the house unless he pays her more money.
Kevin Costner, who is currently worth a reported $250 million, does not want to give Baumgartner any more of his money that he earned from starring in his classic films like The Bodyguard, The Untouchables, and Waterworld.
Baumgartner, who co-founded a handbag company called Cat Bag Couture and used to have a modeling career, is reportedly worth $7 million, a small fraction of her husband’s net worth.
Baumgartner has recently shared that she makes “zero income” now and wants her former husband to give her more money so that she can create a more stable living situation for her and her three children that she shares with Kevin Costner.
While Baumgartner thinks her ex-husband should pay her $248k per month in child support, he thinks he should only have to pay around $38k per month. While it can be expensive to raise children, $248k per month does sound like a lot for her to raise 16-year-old Cayden, 14-year-old Hayes, and 13-Year-old Grace.
Kevin Costner, is currently worth a reported $250 million while his wife is reportedly worth only $7 million.
Despite his current divorce battle and his departure from the hit TV show Yellowstone, Kevin Costner is still hard at work. He is currently writing, directing, and starring in a new film trilogy called Horizon: An American Saga, a dramatic western series that will take place over a 15-year span during the pre-and post-Civil War expansion and settlement.
The first movie will also star Sam Worthington, Abbey Lee, and Isabelle Fuhrman.
Kevin Costner and Baumgartner were married for 18 years before they split due to irreconcilable differences. We hope that the two will be able to come to an agreement on their financial situation and provide positive environments for their children.
