Kate Hudson Shows Off A See-Through Dress For A Premiere
Kate Hudson wore a stunning see-through dress at an LA screening of Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon.
Kate Hudson has been to plenty of red carpet events by now, so it was no surprise when she managed to stun everyone in this see-through Oscar de la Renta dress at the premiere of her upcoming film Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon. The film screened in Los Angeles on Wednesday, September 28 and Hudson looked amazing in the floral-detailed gown. If you’re interested in seeing Hudson on the screen, you can now see Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon in select theaters around the country.
Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon follows a girl with powers who escapes from an insane asylum in New Orleans. Along with Kate Hudson, the film stars Jeon Jong-seo (Burning), Craig Robinson, Ed Skrein, Evan Whitten, and more. Ana Lily Amirpour writes and directs.
Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon actually premiered at the Venice International Film Festival back in 2021. Distribution rights were eventually acquired by Saban Films in March 2022 and now we’re finally getting to see the movie. The film has been getting pretty good reviews so far and you can’t really go wrong with Kate Hudson in a comedic role.
Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon won’t be the only comedic role that we get to see Kate Hudson in this year. She’ll also be part of the stacked ensemble cast in the upcoming Knives Out sequel Glass Onion: A Knives Out Story. The film is set to hit Netflix on December 23 with a limited theater release beforehand.
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Story will see Daniel Craig’s Southern detective Benoit Blanc traveling to Greece to solve a new case. Rian Johnson is also back directing and writing the sequel. Along with Kate Hudson, the cast for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Story includes Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, Ethan Hawke, Jessica Henwick, Kathryn Hahn, Madelyn Cline, Janelle Monae, Leslie Odom Jr, and Yuri Togkces.
Even though Glass Onion: A Knives Out Story isn’t even out yet, Netflix has already announced we’ll be getting a third Knives Out film featuring Benoit Blanc in 2024. Presumably, this will be another brand new case with a new cast of characters, so it’s probably safe to assume that Kate Hudson won’t be back for that entry to the burgeoning franchise. Daniel Craig is the only actor returning from the first film, so don’t expect any of the characters from Glass Onion to be along for the ride next time.
Kate Hudson also has one film confirmed for 2023 so far called Shriver. Shriver is adapted from the Chris Belden novel of the same name about a handyman living in New York City who is mistaken for a famous, reclusive author and brought to deliver a keynote address at a university. Michael Shannon stars as Shriver and Kate Hudson stars as the professor who mistakes him for the real author, who is played by Zach Braff.
Shriver is adapted and directed by Michael Maren. Along with Shannon, Braff, and Hudson, the film stars Perry Mattfeld, Peyton List, Don Johnson, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Jimmi Simpson, Wendie Malick, and M. Emmett Walsh. There is no official release date yet.
