Kate Hudson Proves She Has No Tan Lines In Stunning Poolside Photos

Actress Kate Hudson gave fans an eyeful on Instagram yesterday when she posted pictures of herself in a red thong bikini bottom and nothing else. The 44-year-old showed off a bikini area free of tanlines and—and everything else—in a piece of swimwear that covered only what it had to and not an inch more. The star’s only other stitch of clothing was a cowboy hat she donned for the photos.
Kate Hudson captioned the post, “Suns out, buns (and huns) out #summerready,” and while there is definitely sun in every picture the star put up, fans have to get through four photos before the “buns” show up. The payoff is well worth the effort, however.
The Glass Onion star showed off plenty of her other assets in the first picture, where she’s posed standing near a pool with a book and the aforementioned cowboy hat. The book Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus obscures Kate Hudson’s face while only partially covering her upper torso—a fact made all too evident by the little blue cartoon heart Hudson placed strategically over one exposed nipple before posting. The red thong, however, obscures even less and exposes Kate’s grooming preferences to the world. Goldie Hawn’s little girl would appear to be a “scorched earth” type of waxer.
In between shots of Kate Hudson’s unbelievably toned body are a close-up picture of a sunflower and one of her dog and child sitting in front of a gate leading to the actress’s in-ground pool. Hudson’s fourth pic is of a leg—Hudson’s own—that stretches on for days. A second limb, this one blurry, is bent in such a way that it almost looks like someone’s exposed backside at first glance, a titillating hint of what’s to come.
It’s the final shot that makes good on the “buns out” promise of the caption. Kate Hudson stands back to the camera, with her hands on her hips and her backside fully exposed—save the half-inch or so covered by the thong. Just this view with no context would lead most fans to guess that the smoking-hot actress was half her age. If the Earth’s gravitational pull has any effect whatsoever on Kate Hudson, it’s certainly not noticeable based on these pictures.
Kate Hudson is the daughter of famed actress and former sex symbol Goldie Hawn and singer Bill Hudson—although the star considers Kurt Russell, Goldie’s longtime partner, to be her real father. Hudson may technically be a nepo baby but she’s more than proven she has actual talent through her roles in Almost Famous and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Hudson’s role as groupie Penny Lane in Cameron Crow’s semi-autobiographical Almost Famous earned her a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress and an Oscar nomination in the same category.
Hudson received a second Golden Globe nomination years later for 2021’s Music. The movie was written and directed by pop star Sia and, according to IMDb holds the record for the movie with the lowest Rotten Tomatoes score to be nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Picture.
Even if Kate Hudson’s movies don’t always get universal praise, her Instagram posts sure do. And with “buns” like that, how could they not?
