Kanye West Has Been Suspended From Twitter
This article is more than 2 years old
Twitter has been going through quite a wild time since Elon Musk took over, including welcoming controversial figures like Donald Trump back onto the platform. However, he is standing firm in not allowing the “incitement of violence,” as he has officially suspended the account of Kanye West. West’s Twitter-ban move was after the man posted a new version of the swastika (symbol for the Nazi party) that was blended with the Star of David, which was enough to allow the ban to go through for Musk.
Kanye West also sealed his fate when he shared personal messages between himself and Musk, right before his account was banned. The personal messages included Musk stating that “Sorry, but you have gone too far. This is not love.”
Kanye West has been on an odd self-destructive path for months, with the first instance being a tweet where he stated he was going to go “DEFCON 3 on the Jews.” Since then, things have only gotten worse, as he went on a bizarre tirade that did not include an apology, though he attempted to distance himself from any hate groups. He also recently appeared on InfoWars with Alex Jones, where he stated that he had admiration for Adolf Hitler.
Kanye West stated, “I like Hitler. I do not… the Holocaust is not what happened.” He also added that Hitler has a lot of “redeeming qualities.”
Kanye West has also been taking in counsel from Nick Fuentes, who is a known white nationalist and Holocaust denier. He had apparently traveled to Mar Lago to have dinner with former President Donald Trump and Fuentes. The meeting between West, Fuentes, and Trump was spoken about by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who stated, “There is no room in the Republican Party for antisemitism or white supremacy.”
Kanye West has been keeping up his controversial remarks, and presumed antisemitism, though he claims that he is not that at all. However, claiming adoration for a man that committed genocide on the Jewish people is not going to help anyone to think otherwise. West has so far lost his deal with Adidas, but we would imagine that more is going to come of this situation, especially after his comments on appreciating Hitler.
There might be something going on with the mental state of Kanye West, as the man has revealed in past interviews his struggles with being bipolar. These comments or random mood swings could be part of that, and it could be that he is not taking his proper medication. Either way, West’s career is certainly going to be crashing more in the coming weeks.
Kanye West being suspended from Twitter might be the least of his worries if he continues to attack the Jewish people and praise the man responsible for having millions of Jewish people murdered. More people seem to be distancing themselves from West, and rightfully so, as his self-destructive path could bring many people down around him. We hope that he can get the help that he clearly needs, as his comments and behaviors have been horrific, and the hope now would be that no harm will come to him or anyone around him.
