Jonathan Majors Scores Important Win In Domestic Violence Case
Jonathan Major's ex-girlfriend is being sought by the NYPD after Majors' attorney produced more evidence asserting his innocence.
Earlier this year, Jonathan Majors was arrested in New York City after being accused of domestic abuse against his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Despite maintaining his innocence, the 33-year-old star saw various projects sever their connections, and his PR firm ended their relationship with him after the incident. According to Newsweek, however, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star recently scored a huge win after providing evidence to the NYPD last week.
Jonathan Majors was arrested on March 25 and charged the same evening with two counts of third-degree assault, aggravated harassment, and attempted assault against a woman. Priya Chaudhry, Majors’ attorney, has steadfastly asserted his innocence, and recent developments point to two NYPD precincts finding probable cause for the arrest of Jabbari.
“Within hours of viewing the evidence, and conducting their own thorough investigation, the NYPD found probable cause to arrest Grace Jabbari for assaulting Jonathan Majors,” Chaudhry said.
In her report to the police, Jabbari alleged that Majors hit her face, resulting in significant pain and a cut behind her ear. She further claimed that the Creed III star grasped her hand and neck, leading to bruises and substantial discomfort.
After Jonathan Majors was arrested, Jabbari sent him multiple texts, asserting that the NYPD informed her he wouldn’t face charges and that she had admitted to the police her responsibility for the altercation.
Jonathan Majors offers a version of the events that transpired on the night of March 25, which greatly differs from that of his ex-girlfriend. He asserts that Jabbari, under the influence of alcohol and in a state of hysteria, assaulted him on a Chinatown street corner. Majors claims that she scratched and slapped his face, inflicting pain.
Currently, neither the district attorney’s office nor the police have validated the narrative provided by Majors’ attorneys. Jonathan Majors is scheduled for another court appearance on August 3 concerning Jabbari’s accusations. It will be interesting to see how things continue to unfold, especially given the possibility that the NYPD now has probable cause to arrest Jabbari.
Jonathan Majors first crossed paths with Grace Jabbari during the production of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Their relationship ended predictably after Jabbari made allegations of abuse against Majors.
After a virtual court appearance on May 9, Majors started a relationship with actress Meagan Good, who was seen with him on June 20 at the Manhattan Criminal Court in New York City.
Despite rumors that Jonathan Majors might be replaced in his role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to his assault charges, no official confirmation has been given. Reports suggest that Majors is set to reprise his role in the second season of Loki, having already filmed his scenes. Still, it is probable that both Marvel and Disney are keeping a vigilant eye on the unfolding case.
Jonathan Majors is slated to reprise his role as Kang the Conqueror in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, due for release on May 1, 2026, and again in Avengers: Secret Wars, due on May 7, 2027, following his appearance in Loki Season 2.
Even with the lukewarm reviews of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Majors’ interpretation of Kang received widespread acclaim, stirring excitement among fans for his return as the infamous villain. We are optimistic that his legal issues will be resolved promptly as it’s difficult to envision anyone else embodying the character of Kang.
