It might be below freezing in New York City, but Jessica Chastain is starting to heat things up. In a rooftop shoot for Vogue, the Scenes From a Marriage actress donned a slinky blue dress and climbed a water tower to strike a pose. Set to the tune of Yung Lean’s “Ginseng Strip 2002,” Chastain gave fans a sneak peek of the photo shoot via her Instagram. Overtop the social media video, the actress sarcastically wrote, “24 degrees warm*” as she climbed a ladder leading to the water tower. Soon, the comment section was flooded with fans and friends commenting on the actress’s gorgeous look saying things like, “Excellent capture!” and “Amazing.” To give herself a pat on the back for a job well done, Chastain’s caption read, “You know I stay servin’.” With a Vogue watermark, the final still of the clip shows us the actress truly serving in front of the Empire State Building.
A true woman of fashion, this isn’t the first time the actress has taken to Instagram to show off a new stunning look. In the past, we’ve seen Jessica Chastain wearing a rose themed, open jumpsuit as well as a variety of eye-popping colorful suits and dresses. No matter what she decides to put on, she is always looking fabulous. Chastain’s love for fashion has only been cheered on and supported by her husband, Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo. Though she had a successful career prior, Jessica Chastain really took off when she landed a part in the 2011 feature, The Help. Due to her outstanding performance in the drama, she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Things quickly picked up after this, leading her to bring home a Golden Globe Award as well as an Academy Award nomination for her part in the military thriller, Zero Dark Thirty. Since then, the actress has proven herself a force to be reckoned with in every genre, starring in sci-fi films including Interstellar and horror flicks such as It Chapter Two. Most recently, Chastain appeared in The Eyes of Tammy Faye, in which she starred as the titular character. The film served as a biographical feature centering around famous televangelists, Tammy Faye and her husband, Jim Bakker. The two rose to prominence in the 1970s and gained many followers to their fellowship before ultimately crashing and burning in the 1980s. For her outstanding work in the feature film, Chastain earned another Academy Award nomination for Best Actress, the results of which will be revealed at this year’s event in March.
Her dedication for the craft goes beyond the silver screens and red carpets of tinsel town. Jessica Chastain also serves as an outspoken advocate for women’s rights and loudly vocalizes her desire for more inclusion of in depth female roles in film.
