Have you noticed that we don’t get nearly as many grumpy-looking photos of Ben Affleck these days? He’s not just smiling because he no longer has to dress up like Batman for the big screen after The Flash comes out, though that probably helps. We think Affleck is a lot happier because he is back together with Jennifer Lopez, and after you see her serving up these hot summer looks over on Instagram, you’ll see what’s keeping Affleck so happy these days.
In these sexy pictures, Jennifer Lopez managed to do the impossible: she made us care about a sponsored post. Rather than simply showing off how hot she looks for the fun of it (something she does quite often, along with some of our other favorite celebs like Salma Hayek), Lopez made this post to help shill Delola, a sparkling spritz mixed with tequila. As Lopez notes in her post, she considers this “the official drink of the summer.”
On one hand, we can’t help but think it’s a bit tacky for Jennifer Lopez to shill for brands like this. After all, what’s the point of getting back together with the man who plays Bruce Wayne if you have to worry about these petty little sponsorship deals? But that last photo of Lopez pouring a drink pinker than Barbie over some ice cubes does look pretty refreshing on a hot day, so maybe we can give her a pass on this one.
Speaking of passes, the two preceding photos of Jennifer Lopez are so sizzling that she has more than a few online fans wishing they could make a pass at her. At the sight of this canary yellow swimsuit and her powerful pout, Lopez had legions of Instagram fans leave comments that ranged from the deeply complimentary to the downright creepy. A common theme in the comments is that Lopez looks insanely good for a woman who is 53 years old (looking at her, it really seems this number is backward), and one fan earnestly asked her how she is “[moving] backwards” while the rest of us just keep getting older.
While Jennifer Lopez may have a body that refuses to age (if she wasn’t posing in the sunlight, we’d assume that, like Nicolas Cage, she is secretly a vampire), she knows damn well that she is more than just a pretty face. The star likes to stay busy, and she has some fairly ambitious acting projects on the horizon. She will be starring in The Godmother, a movie in which she plays the famous drug lord Griselda Blanco. She’ll also be starring in Atlas, a sci-fi movie about a killer AI out to destroy humanity.
At the end of the day, the only label we can honestly apply to Jennifer Lopez is “iconic.” She’s an amazing actor, a savvy entrepreneur, and a stunningly beautiful woman who simply refuses to age. And she and Ben Affleck are so cute together that it’s almost (almost) enough for us to forget that their film Gigli may be the worst movie ever made.
