As one of the world’s premiere supermodels, it appears that Heidi Klum will never age or spend a single moment not being fabulous. The 48-year-old former host of Project Runway recently shared an image of herself on Instagram, and she is looking amazing as ever. The camera has caught her in mid strut, with her famously infectious smile beaming straight ahead. Klum is wearing a dramatically cut black latex pencil skirt, slashed high up to show off the matching black latex kinky boots. Her black halter top is also perfectly paired with the pencil skirt, and she has a gauzy black top over that. Klum appears to be on set, in an industrial warehouse-style building. Heidi Klum first came to prominence in the early 1990s, after she won a national German modeling contest (beating out approximately 25,000 other contestants). She swiftly became a sensation in the fashion world, famously appearing multiple times on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She was also well known for her association with Victoria’s Secret as one of their premiere “Angels,” eventually participating in 11 different shows for the lingerie brand.
While she represented many of the world’s most prestigious brands as a model for years, Heidi Klum also successfully made the pivot into television and film that so often eludes other models. Most notably, she hosted the Bravo fashion reality TV show Project Runway along with designer Tim Gunn for years, finally departing the show in 2018. Gunn and Klum have now hosted the Amazon fashion reality show Making the Cut since then.
As an actress, Heidi Klum has also appeared in many TV shows and films, often skewering her own glamorous image. She notably appeared as herself on Sex and the City, How I Met Your Mother and the Meryl Streep/Anne Hathaway fashion film The Devil Wears Prada. Since 2013, she has been one of the many hosts of the popular reality game show, America’s Got Talent, sharing the distinction as other fellow non-Americans Piers Morgan, Sharon Osborne and once and future Spice Girl Mel B. In addition to all that, she also has published books, released a Christmas pop song and was married to the R&B singer Seal for quite some time (though there has never been confirmation that she inspired the lyrics to “Kiss from a Rose,” as we like to assume).
For decades, Heidi Klum has graced us with fabulous images, and Instagram has just made it all that much easier for us to enjoy. And given that she is literally one of the best to ever model, we should just be grateful for that.
