Hayley Atwell Makes Blazers Sexy Again With A Plunging White Top
This article is more than 2 years old
Hayley Atwell is heating up Instagram timelines with her latest post. The actress took to the social media platform to talk about her experience as a chair on the main jury of the British Independent Film Awards while posing in a chic Catherine Walker suit. The 2022 British Independent Film Awards she chaired saw the film Aftersun take home seven awards, including Best British Independent Film and Best Director.
While Hayley Atwell seems to enjoy her time watching these independent films, her next projects certainly won’t fall in that category. Atwell is set to feature in two huge upcoming blockbusters with Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two. Christopher McQuarrie will return to the franchise once again to write and direct both entries.
Along with Hayley Atwell, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One also stars Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Shea Whigham, Pom Klementieff, Esai Morales, Rob Delaney, Henry Czerny, and Cary Elwes. The next two Mission Impossible films are set to be a send-off for Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt, so it’ll be interesting if they set up any cast members to potentially take over the long-running franchise as the lead.
We’ll get to see Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One when it hits theaters on July 14, 2023, and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two when it’s released the following summer on June 28, 2024. Hayley Atwell will also be playing a famous franchise character when she voices Lara Croft in the upcoming Netflix Tomb Raider anime. The anime is a spin-off from the Square Enix video games and follows the recent reboot trilogy that ended with Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 2018.
The series is set to be written and executive produced by The Witcher: Blood Origin‘s Tasha Huo. We haven’t seen too much of Hayley Atwell on the big screen lately, so it will be good to see her back in action in the upcoming Mission Impossible films. Although it was brief, we did get to see her return in her biggest role as Peggy Carter in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, this time donning the Captain America shield for herself as an alternate universe Captain Carter. Atwell also reprised the role of Peggy when she voiced her in two episodes of the animated What If…?
While there haven’t been any announcements of Hayley Atwell returning to the role of Peggy Carter, there’s hope that she could suit up again with all the multiversal plotlines happening in the MCU right now. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars are both set up to be massive movie events with tons of characters coming together. Perhaps there’s a way that a multiverse variant of Peggy could show up in one of these projects.
We’ll just have to wait until Hayley Atwell’s role in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One to see her on the big screen again. Summer of 2023 seems like a long time to wait, but there’s always the chance that she could surprise us with another MCU cameo or an unrelated project. In the meantime, you can always revisit the Mission Impossible trailer.
