See Hailee Steinfeld Busting Out Of Her Oscars Gown

Hailee Steinfeld personified Hollywood glamour when she arrived at the famed Vanity Fair Oscar Party. The Marvel alum looked super stylish in a black, sheer lingerie slip dress she chose for the glamorous celebration. The outfit featured an intricate woven look with sparkly silver details. The actress accessorized her look with a matching coat and black heels.
The Hawkeye star wore her hair in a tousled style which complimented the dress perfectly. She added chunky black jewelry to her ensemble, which included drop earrings and a retro-looking ring which was highlighted by matching nail polish. But Hailee Steinfeld wasn’t the only actress making fashion waves at the event.
The nearly naked look has become a mainstay at most red carpet events, and the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party hosted at the Wallis Annenberg Centre for the Performing Arts was no exception. Like Hailee Steinfeld, women like Daisy Edgar Jones and Emily Ratajkowski oozed astounding confidence levels in their sheer gowns as photographers clamored for the best shot.
Hailee Steinfeld previously made a splash with an outfit when she attended the 2018 Met Gala. Dressed for the “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” theme, she wore a white gown adorned with gold detail by Prabal Gurung. The 26 year old paired the outfit with Jimmy Choo shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, which included a silver crown.
Her appearance at the 2018 Met Gala was a standout moment in her fashion career and cemented her status as a rising fashion icon in Hollywood. But the gown also caused Anya Taylor-Joy to almost fall down the stairs. The Menu star got caught up in Hailee Steinfeld’s dress and would have fallen if Jimmy Fallon hadn’t grabbed her.
After hearing the story, Hailee Steinfeld took to social media to react. “Not me being the possible cause of sending Anya Taylor-Joy down that colossal staircase. Thank god for Jimmy Fallon, and honestly, thank god for you, ATJ. I can’t wait to properly meet!” It was an accident that could have been disastrous, but thankfully the Tonight Show host saved the day.
Away from fashion, Hailee Steinfeld had her breakthrough with the 2010 western film True Grit, for which she an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She gained wider recognition after appearing in Ender’s Game and Begin Again, which were both released in 2013. Two years later, she embarked on a singing career when she signed with Republic Records.
Her debut single, “Love Myself” was released in August 2015 and made headlines for its empowering message and suggestive lyrics. After playing Kate Bishop in the Disney+ series Hawkeye, Hailee Steinfeld is set to lend her voice to Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which is set for release on June 2nd.
