Gina Carano is known for her career in the entertainment industry, modeling and also her past as a mixed martial artist. The actress has appeared in films such as Deadpool and was also involved in a few series such as The Mandalorian. Carano sometimes will also delve into social media, and her posts have previously led to a bit of controversy. Recently, amid tensions between Russia and Ukraine, Carano has voiced her opinions on the situation.
Gina Carano jumped on her Twitter and gave her own opinions about alleged reasons and causes for why Russia invaded Ukraine. Allegedly, Carano’s main reason for the invasion was due to the “Covid narrative” ending. In her tweet, the actress stated, “The moment they lost control of the Covid narrative. Cue a war.” Russia began its invasion of Ukraine on February 24th of this year. Carano also stated in her post, “Endless power grabs. No accountability. Devastated economies.” This part in her post seems to possibly suggest that she believes that certain countries and governments are only searching for power, and don’t particularly care who or what is hurt in the crossfire. According to MMA News, after her controversial posts and comments involving the Holocaust, LucasFilm officially announced that Carano would no longer be involved in its productions, including The Mandalorian. The actress has voiced her opinions about the Covid situation and Covid mandates in the past, and isn’t afraid to share her thoughts and feelings with her followers on social media. Although the actress has dealt with certain controversies, it hasn’t stopped her from still pursuing her passion for working on productions. The actress will be starring in a new project titled Terror on the Prairie.
Terror on the Prairie is a collaboration between Gina Carano and The Daily Wire, which was founded by Ben Shapiro. The movie is directed by Michael Polish and is another addition to some of The Daily Wire’s other feature films, according to The Hollywood Reporter. According to the publication, the movie will center around a pioneering family that has to defend themselves against a gang of violent outlaws. Carano expressed her excitement to work with The Daily Wire to create a feature film together. In an interview, the actress stated about the news company: “The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true.” Terror on the Prairie will be Carano’s first big film since her leave from the Star Wars spinoff series.
Although the film is being created and produced by a conservative media company, the film itself will center on telling an interesting story, with no focus on politics. According to Movie Web, Jeremy Boreing from The Daily Wire discussed the film, and said, “…We’re making top-quality entertainment that all Americans can love.” Even though Gina Carano might make a few controversial statements, the actress still pushes through and doesn’t give up her passion for working and creating projects.
