Ezra Miller might be speeding into theaters for a Flash solo movie in the next couple of years, but in the meantime, he’s allegedly been slowed down (like what I did there?) by authorities who arrested the movie star on charges of disorderly conduct and harassment at a bar in Hilo, Hawaii. According to Variety, Miller was taken into custody on Sunday evening following an incident at a bar that allegedly involved the movie star, a young woman, a karaoke machine, and a dart game. Miller was arrested and taken into holding though quickly made bail and was released.

Apparently, according to local police reports, authorities were called to a local bar after receiving a complaint of a patron who was getting out of hand and allegedly yelling obscenities at other customers. According to Variety, Ezra Miller attempted to get the microphone away from a 23-year-old woman who was singing karaoke (no report on what song she was belting out), and then when that didn’t work he made a move for someone that was playing darts (no report on the score or whether the game was completed). It sounds like a total mess for the actor who had apparently gotten out of control while there.

And this isn’t the first time Ezra Miller has allegedly had issues at a bar. In 2020, while in Iceland, a video surfaced of the actor apparently attempting to choke another woman before being escorted off the premises. At the time, it wasn’t clear if the two had been joking around, but later reporting suggested that it had been an actual incident. This seemed to stem from a group of fans approaching Miller and him thinking they were getting “pushy” around the actor

While there has been no comment about this latest incident from Ezra Miller or his camp, Warner Bros. might also be taking notice of what has happened with the actor. That’s because Miller is a key component in two of their major movie franchises right now. He’s set to reprise his role of Credence Barebone in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise when Secrets of Dumbledore comes out in wide release next month. He’s had a major role in the first two films as well.

And then, of course, there’s The Flash which is due out in the summer of next year. In that movie, Ezra Miller will be back as Barry Allen in the character’s first solo movie. This time he’ll be speeding through the DC version of the Multiverse on a quest to undo the death of the character’s mother. But this will have all kinds of consequences on the DC Universe, including finding a way to bring back Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne Batman character and introducing Sasha Calle’s Supergirl. It is one of the more anticipated movies the DC franchise has going.

We are sure to get more details about this alleged Ezra Miller incident in due order. And it will be interesting to see if the studio feels like they need to do damage control for the actor or any of their upcoming productions.
