See Emma Watson Ready To Party In A See-Through Dress
Emma Watson emerges from her break from public life with a stunning series of outfits at Oscars viewing parties.
After a five-year hiatus from public events, Emma Watson attended a 2023 Oscars party where she showed off three different outfits. In a series of photos shared to her Instagram stories, the Harry Potter star showcased a sheer lilac gown by Fendi. The dress was made from intricate lace fabric and featured an off-the-shoulder design, long batwing sleeves, and a manageable train.
The 32-year-old accessorized her look with diamond-encrusted silver jewelry from Pasquale Bruni and carried a matching clutch. Her hair was styled in a tousled looked and gripped away from her face with inconspicuous sliders. Later that evening, Emma Watson swapped the sheer ensemble for a black fitted dress by designer Christopher Esber which she wore to a different soiree.
The Beauty and The Beast star wore a third dress to the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 31st Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party. Emma Watson chose a sheer black off-the-shoulder dress for the event and wore her light brown hair in loose waves. The appearances were rare for the actress, who has kept a low profile in the past year.
Emma Watson has stayed out of the spotlight except for promoting her self-directed Prada fragrance commercial in 2022. Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar Australia, she said directing the mini film for Prada Paradoxe was a condition for her involvement. “I was particular that, if I’m going to do this, I want to tell a story, and I want to be a real character,” she told the publication.
Emma Watson explained that she wanted to tell her own story. She said that being in control of her own image felt genuinely exciting. The 32-year-old revealed that she had been interested in helming a project for a long time.
“I wanted to be a director since I was seven years old,” she added. “I don’t think I thought it was a possibility.”
Since no one offered her the directing job, Emma Watson asked for it since she loved telling stories. “I think I’m good at it. I think I have a vision. I’m not waiting for anyone’s permission anymore,” she continued.
The actress explained that the Prada project was serendipitous, especially since she found the concept of being a woman who is a paradox interesting.
“As a director, I wanted to find material that I wasn’t going to get bored of,” Emma Watson continued. While working on the Prada commercial, Emma Watson said she felt good about living and exploring it daily. Having control of her image comes as the actress has been a victim of several deepfakes on social media.
Explicit videos using Emma Watson’s face spread across the internet, prompting journalism student, Lauren Barton, to record them. She shared her outrage on behalf of the actress and other victims via NBC News. “[This] could ruin somebody’s life. They could get in trouble at their job. And this is extremely easy to do and free.”
FaceMega circulated over 230 adverts using deepfake videos using the likeness of Emma Watson and Marvel alum Scarlett Johansson. Emma Watson hasn’t released a statement about the video app using her image.
