Anne Heche sadly passed away yesterday, because of the injuries she suffered from a car wreck. Heche crashed her car into a home, where both the home and her vehicle were set ablaze. Though she was awake and alert shortly after the wreck occurred, she lost consciousness on the way to the hospital and never recovered. She was taken off life support and passed away shortly after that. Heche shared a relationship with Ellen DeGeneres in the early 2000s, and now DeGeneres has beautifully paid tribute to the woman. You can see that tribute below:

Sometimes few words are all that is needed in a tragedy that occurs. Ellen DeGeneres just stated that losing Anne Heche resulted in a terribly sad day. She also shared her love towards everyone that called Heche family or friends. Despite the details surrounding the car wreck, Heche lost her life, and that is truly sad. On that note, this is why drinking and driving is so dangerous. It had been revealed that Heche was under the influence of drugs at the time of the wreck. She was also shown in prior videos acting erratically after crashing into a garage in an apartment complex. People were shown attempting to get her out of her car before she sped off, leading herself to the home which she struck, and which would ultimately end her life.

Plenty of people have been offering their words and condolences toward Anne Heche. Despite her decisions at the time of the wreck that took her life, her family described losing her as, “losing a bright light.” TMZ also posted a video they caught of Heche giving money to a homeless woman on the street. Ellen DeGeneres and her family know that Heche was certainly not a bad person. More tributes came in that solidified that fact. Actors Ed Helms and Robert De Niro both posted on their social media channels about working with the woman, and how vibrant she had been. Carrie Ann Inaba of Dancing with the Stars also said some tender words about Heche, as the actress appeared on the series when Inba had been a judge.

Although the consensus might be that Anne Heche acted of her own accord because of driving while under the influence of drugs and alcohol, she still lost her life, and that is tragic by any measure. Thankfully, no one else was hurt, including the woman and her dog that had been in the house at the time of the wreck. Ellen DeGeneres is the ex-girlfriend of Heche and still managed to say some tender words toward the actress.

Anne Heche will see her final film premiere, as the brass at Lifetime had announced that her starring feature would still go ahead. This feature is called Girl in Room 13 and has a release date of September. This film will be one of the final times that we see Heche in a starring role. We join Ellen DeGeneres, Ed Helms, Robert De Niro, and Carrie Ann Inaba in saying rest in peace, Anne Heche.
