Elizabeth Hurley Took A Royal’s Virginity?
Elizabeth Hurley vehemently denies taking Prince Harry's virginity.
Elizabeth Hurley is known for a lot of things. Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery helped cement her status as an incredible actor, but she’s also a model, fashion designer, and mother. To add or perhaps detract from her long list of accomplishments there have been recent allegations that Elizabeth Hurley was the unnamed older woman to take Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex’s virginity when he was a teenager, but to put that rumor to rest, she now asserts she wasn’t the woman to take the royal’s virginity.
As the story goes, Prince Harry and the royal family owned property in Gloucestershire in Southwest England. By random chance, Elizabeth Hurley happened to own a small family farm in the same area as the royal family. Add this fact to Prince Harry’s story of losing his virginity in his memoir Spare coming out on January 10, 2023 in the countryside to an unnamed older woman led fans and critics to connect some rather juicy dots.
According to an interview in The Times, no, Elizabeth Hurley never did the deed with Harry and outright denies the claim. The interviewer implied that Hurley was ‘cheeky’ in her response and she changed her tune saying, “No. Not me. Absolutely not.”
On the surface, the facts seem to add up. However, this version of events omits some key details. The first is the age of both Elizabeth Hurley and Prince Harry and of course Hurley’s marriage to Hugh Grant.
It’s fair to assume that Prince Harry lost his virginity around the age of 16 or 17 given national averages in the UK. Given his birth year of 1984, Prince Harry most likely lost his V-card in 2000 or 2001. Elizabeth Hurley was born in 1965, which would have made her anywhere between 34-36 in 2000 or 2001.
Add in the fact the age of consent in the UK was and still is 18, it seems unlikely that Elizabeth Hurley would have committed a federal crime to have slept with still flowered Prince Harry. The real icing on the cake is that Elizabeth Hurley and Hugh Grant only divorced in May of 2000.
Hurley frequently goes to Grant for script and life advice, and as Hurley describes, they are still very close. In turn, it wouldn’t make a lot of sense for Elizabeth, fresh out of a divorce with someone she still cares for, to go and sleep with a literal teenager that just happens to be a member of one of the most known families on the planet.
While it makes for a great rumor, with Elizabeth Hurley and Prince Harry’s respective ages, Hurley’s relationship with Hugh Grant, her own denial of the rumor, and the national age of consent in the UK, the fact remains that Elizabeth Hurley has shut down rumors of taking Prince Harry’s virginity. Who the unnamed beautiful older woman was all the years ago remains a mystery, and neither the woman nor Prince Harry seems excited or willing to share that information.
