Austin Powers actress Elizabeth Hurley is usually on Instagram showing off her latest colorful fashion choice for a night out or social event, but she switched things up recently by showing off a classic Versace top in midnight black, much to the delight of her nearly 2.5 million followers, who have made her one of Instagram’s hottest accounts to follow. “Nights in @versace,” the ageless beauty wrote with the three photos, looking sultry in the black-lace sleeveless top with frayed edges. The stunning low-cut top met with the approval of Donatella Versace herself, who responded to the pictures with “You are so beautiful!!” and some black-and-white heart emojis.

The post was a hit with her followers, as it racked up over 52,000 likes within 24 hours. Lethal Weapon actress Patsy Kensit responded with “Beautifi Fifi,” which we must assume is some sort of pet name for her friend. Even Elizabeth Hurley’s son Damian, an actor with his own huge Instagram following, approved of his mother’s photos, posting heart emojis in the comments section.

The 57-year-old actress’ Instagram feed may seem like all play and no work, it’s actually quite the opposite, as she often uses posts to promote her extensive charity work. In particular, Elizabeth Hurley is the Global Ambassador for the Estee Lauder Breast Cancer Campaign, and recently appeared at the organization’s annual gala, and the company even created a special shade of lipstick, “Elizabeth Pink,” to celebrate her efforts and raise money for research towards finding a cure. The cause is one close to Hurley’s heart: her beloved grandmother died from breast cancer, and she has been active in efforts to find a cure for years.

Elizabeth Hurley in Bedazzled (2000)

Elizabeth Hurley was a relative unknown when she made her first major film appearance in 1992’s Passenger 57, opposite Wesley Snipes. She had made a number of appearances in small roles on British television, but the action flick gave her the exposure her career needed, and bigger roles soon followed. She soon found herself dating actor Hugh Grant, and Estee Lauder hired her as a model, despite having no experience, and has continued in that role ever since.

Her role as Vanessa Kensington in 1997’s Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery made her an icon, and she followed that up with memorable roles in Bedazzled (playing the Devil herself) and EdTV. In recent years, she shifted to some high-profile television roles, including appearances on Gossip Girl, The Royals, and Marvel’s Hulu series The Runaways.

She has recently shifted back to movies, including three Christmas themed films: 2021’s Father Christmas is Back, the 2022 comedy Christmas in Paradise, and Christmas in the Caribbean, which has yet to get a release date. She even joked recently that filming in the Caribbean gave the chance to have a working vacation, as she hadn’t been able to get away with the COVID lockdown. She just completed work on a thriller, The Piper.

Elizabeth Hurley also made headlines recently when she joined other celebrities in a lawsuit against The Daily Mail, accusing them of “criminal activity” and “breaches of privacy” as their photographers follow them around.
