Elisha Cuthbert Was Attacked By A Huge Animal On Set Of Her Best Show
Sometime appearing in action shows offers more action than actors want, and that was the case when a huge animal attacked Elisha Cuthbert on her best show.

Elisha Cuthbert is well-known for playing Kim Bauer on 24, the daughter of Kiefer Sutherland’s Agent Jack Bauer. If you’ve seen the show, you know that Jack often had to go off-course from his missions to protect Kim and get her out of sticky situations. But as Cuthbert revealed in a recent interview with The Daily Beast, she got in a bit of a sticky situation herself while filming an episode for the series’ second season.
In the interview, Elisha Cuthbert was asked if gluing her mouth shut for the horror film House of Wax was the craziest thing she had ever done for a project. Her answer was much more surprising, as she revealed she was attacked by a mountain lion while shooting 24. She talked about how there was a mountain lion on set for the scene and that it ended up jumping her and attacking her, biting her hand, and sending her to the hospital. It sounds like a terrifying experience. The mountain lion was meant to be on set, as it was apparently needed for the scene, so it’s not like this wasn’t a preventable incident. It definitely pays to be careful when handling dangerous animals on set, so thankfully Cuthbert wasn’t hurt worse in the incident.
24 was an intense show, but that experience is probably a little more intense than the cast and crew were planning for. The show ran for eight seasons, with Elisha Cuthbert appearing in six of them. Each season depicted Sutherland’s Agent Jack Bauer and the Counter-Terrorist Unit working to eliminate threats over the course of 24 hours. After 24 ended, Cuthbert would go on to star in shows like The Ranch and Happy Endings. Though we haven’t seen much of the actress since the pandemic started, we recently got a new movie that she starred in called The Cellar.
The Cellar is a horror film that was released last week. It stars Elisha Cuthbert alongside Eoin Macken, Dylan Fitzmaurice Brady, Abby Fitz, Tara Lee, and more. The movie tells the story of Keira Woods (Cuthbert), whose daughter disappears after going into the attic of their new house. Keira discovers that an ancient spirit is controlling her home and that she’ll have to save her family. Cuthbert is no stranger to the horror genre, with House of Wax being one of her most well-known projects. Right now, the Rotten Tomatoes score for the movie isn’t especially favorable, but that could always change as more reviews come in.
If horror isn’t your cup of tea, Elisha Cuthbert has another movie on the docket that is supposed to come out before the end of the year. She’ll be co-starring in Bandit, alongside Mel Gibson and Josh Duhamel. Bandit tells the story of a career criminal who escapes prison and takes on a new identity to go on a robbing spree across Canada. She also has a couple more projects in the works called Dear Elizabeth and Friday Afternoon in the Universe, so it seems we’ll be getting a lot more Cuthbert projects in the near future.
