See Dua Lipa Celebrate Island Time In A Series Of Tiny Bikinis
Dua Lipa shows off a series of bikinis in a tropical paradise.
Many of us are still waiting for the last days of winter to dissipate and for spring to begin, but Dua Lipa is already fully on island time and soaking up the sun. The pop star took to Instagram to share some beachy looks, which included a Hello Kitty bikini. Check out the post below:
There’s no news about a new album coming from Dua Lipa, but maybe she’s resting up and relaxing before hitting the studio for her next big studio album. Her last album, 2020’s Future Nostalgia was an absolutely massive hit and had numerous hit singles. Not only that but it was also nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys, taking home the latter award.
We haven’t heard any new music from Dua Lipa this year, and she only featured on a couple of songs in 2022. The last time we heard new music from her was on Calvin Harris’ Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2 album for the lead single “Potion” which also featured Young Thug. Before that, she was featured on the lead single “Sweetest Pie” for Megan Thee Stallion’s Traumazine album.
With no news on the way about upcoming albums or tours, fans are left to see what other projects Dua Lipa is diving into. Fortunately for them, Lipa’s next big project is in an arena she hasn’t entered before — Hollywood. She will be making her acting debut in the upcoming Matthew Vaughn film Argylle, which doesn’t currently have a release date.
Argylle will be directed and produced by Matthew Vaughn from the script by Jason Fuchs, which is based on the currently unreleased novel of the same name by Elly Conway. The project is a spy film that follows a spy with amnesia who seeks revenge against the organization he used to work for when his memories begin to return. Along with Dua Lipa, the cast of the film includes Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, John Cena, Ariana DeBose, Rob Delaney, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Jing Lusi, and Samuel L. Jackson.
Matthew Vaughn, best known for his Kingsman movies, has said the film is his ode to 1980s action films and that he decided to cast Cavill since he needed a Bond-like character. Also like the Kingsman movies, the film is intended to kick off a franchise if it ends up being successful. Perhaps this means that we could see Dua Lipa continue her acting career in the potential Argylle sequels.
Considering Apple TV+ has the rights to Argylle, and the Kingsman franchise movies always do well, it wouldn’t be surprising if Argylle does end up becoming a successful franchise. When you have stars like Henry Cavill and Dua Lipa on board, it’s sure to get more people in to watch the film. Lipa’s albums have over 10 billion streams each on Spotify, and she has multiple music videos with over 1 billion views, so you have to imagine a good portion of her fans would want to see her acting debut.
