Dove Cameron Has Major Witch Vibes On The Red Carpet
Dove Cameron looked fantastic at the Vanity Fair Oscars After-Party.
Dove Cameron attended the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars Party in a Goth-inspired outfit. The former Disney star looked incredible in a black Toni Maticevski dress with silver details. The actress paired the outfit with simple silver jewelry and shoes by Sergio Rossi. The glamorous event, which follows the Academy Awards show, took place in Beverly Hills on March 12th.
The 27-year-old wore her hair in a stylish updo with a few wispy locks framing her face. Dove Cameron opted for natural makeup, which she enhanced with bold red lipstick. She shared a few images from the party on social media, which had fans flocking to the comments section to praise her style. “Beauty,” one person wrote, while others shared the sentiment with various emojis.
Over the years, Dove Cameron has become a fashion icon with her unique style. Her outfits range from super feminine to slightly masculine. She often wears outfits from designers like Zeynep Arçay and Majesty Vodice. Her red carpet looks incorporate classic Hollywood styles with solid-color fitted pieces. The 27-year-old usually pairs her outfits with bold eye makeup or combat boots.
The Daytime Emmy Award winner also looks great in casual wear, with fans coveting her various outfits. Speaking to Life & Style in 2019, Dove Cameron said her style icon will always be Winona Ryder, even though it’s not always evident in all her looks. “I live and die by Winona Ryder,” she told the publication. She especially loves what the Stranger Things star wore during her Beetlejuice era.
“She wore this really beautiful white dress, but the thing is, she was such a tomboy,” Dove Cameron explained. She added that Ryder’s entire aesthetic was just so intelligent. She went on to discuss her favorite outfits from the Hollywood legend, which include jeans, t-shirts, and leather jackets paired with red lipstick and short hair. “She is such a badass. I love her,” the actress added.
Dove Cameron began her acting career in a stage production of Les Miserables in 2007. A few years later, she was cast in a Disney Channel comedy series called Bits and Pieces. But the show was ultimately retooled into Liv and Maddie, which saw the child star taking on the dual lead of both titular characters, Liv and Maddie Rooney.
The role earned Dove Cameron a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in Children’s Programming. Since then, she has appeared in several television shows, including Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Shameless. She also played Amber Von Tussle in the NBC live television presentation of Hairspray in December 2016.
Dove Cameron will next be seen as Bubbles in Powerpuff, a live-action series based on the popular Powerpuff Girls cartoon (if it ever actually gets made).
Developed by The CW, the series follows Blossom, Bubbles (Dove Cameron), and Buttercup, who resent losing their childhood to fighting crime. Now in their 20s, the girls are faced with reuniting when the world needs them more than ever, Variety reports. The project is produced by Warner Bros. Television Studios, with Heather Regnier and Diablo Cody set to pen the series.
Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden will serve as executive producers on the Dove Cameron-led series.
