Dakota Johnson opted not to spend her Friday lounging around with Christian Grey in the bedroom, and instead, she attended the Gucci show for Milan Fashion Week. A Twitter fan account for the Fifty Shades of Grey actress shared a bundle of photos of the star from the event, where she donned a sexy black bodysuit and a matching miniskirt. The 33-year-old performer is certainly no stranger to strutting around in revealing outfits, as a few months back, she wore a see-through black jumpsuit while attending the Met Gala.
To say the Suspiria star looked stunning at the recent Gucci show would be an understatement. Dakota Johnson absolutely wowed onlookers with her fold fashion choice. She paired her dark outfit with a black blazer, a pair of knee-high boots, and minimal jewelry.
While Dakota Johnson isn’t all that active on social media, pictures of the gorgeous actress always seem to get the internet buzzing. The photos from her Gucci show appearance were shared to a Twitter account with the name Best of Dakota Johnson, and they’ve already been viewed by nearly 6,000 users. Additionally, hundreds of users on the Elon Musk-owned platform have liked and retweeted the handful of photos since they were shared on Friday.
Although Dakota Johnson made her first onscreen appearance in the 1999 film Crazy in Alabama, she didn’t really get into acting until 2010, when she starred in the Oscar-nominated movie The Social Network. She appeared alongside Jesse Eisenberg, who recently admitted to getting nauseated looking at himself in the mirror. Over the next few years, she went on to land roles in high-profile projects like Beastly, 21 Jump Street, and Goats.
Of course, Dakota Johnson was catapulted to stardom when she landed the role of Anastasia Steele in 2015’s Fifty Shades of Grey. The film was adapted from the 2011 erotic romance novel of the same name by British author E.L. James, which is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving BDSM. Despite its controversial subject matter, the movie was a huge hit, earning nearly $570 million globally from a budget of $40 million.
Dakota Johnson reprised her role as Anastasia in the 2017 sequel Fifty Shades Darker and its 2018 follow-up Fifty Shades Freed. Although neither sequel came close to matching the success of the original film, they were both still considered massive hits for Universal Pictures. Back in 2020, there were reports that a fourth entry in the controversial movie franchise was being developed, but those plans seemed to have dissipated.
Post-Fifty Shades, Dakota Johnson has landed the starring role in the upcoming Spider-Man spin-off Madame Web. She’s set to play the titular character in the film, which centers around a clairvoyant whose psychic abilities allow her to see within the spider world itself. Directed by S.J. Clarkson from a script by Kerem Sanga, the hotly anticipated movie is scheduled to arrive in theaters on February 16, 2024.
