Chris Hemsworth has stolen hearts as Thor throughout the litany of films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He was a natural pick for People’s 2014 edition of Sexiest Man Alive after Thor: The Dark World hit theaters the year before. And he’s got some mad acting skills to back up his good looks.

As Chris Hemsworth prepared to smite bad guys as Marvel’s hammer-wielding Norse God in Thor: Love and Thunder, the actor has been sharing some of his intense workout routines on social media. The videos prove that it takes a lot of hard work to be Thor. So much so that Hemsworth has an entire team of trainers and nutritionists to help him achieve the ultimate superhero physique.

Over time his workout videos have become so popular that the father of three launched Centr Power, a fitness training program that promises to help you build muscle like Chris Hemsworth.

Centr Power is designed by Chris Hemsworth and his trainer Luke Zocchi. The program has been created around the style of training the actor uses when prepping for movie roles. Sadly, the Men in Black star won’t be the one coaching you, but subscribers will get to work side by side with Hemsworth’s stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton.

Centr Power will be available to the general public on June 21, and Chris Hemsworth shared a post on Instagram to promote the program.

I’ve had a lot of questions about my prep and training for Thor over the years. This time around I was fortunate enough to have a solid period at home to try a multitude of nutritional and training methods, to build the strongest version of myself and the character yet. From that, I decided to design a fully guided program on how I achieved those results. Eat, train, sleep repeat! With our Centr Power program. It launches June 21st @centrfit sign up now for your free trial 7 day trial at Centr.com.”

If you’re wondering just how intense Chris Hemsworth’s Thor workout is, this is what the training program offers…

  • The 10-week muscle-building program caters to all levels of fitness, strength, and lifting experience, including beginners, intermediates, and advanced folks.
  • Progressive full gym program with self-guided workouts.
  • Moves and machines will increase in complexity through the training levels.
  • Each level is split into three x 3-week phases, plus one deload week, to ensure your body doesn’t hit a plateau.
  • Level up your gains with our in-app rep and weight-tracking functionality.
  • Specialized nutrition handbooks for each level to adapt the Centr Build Muscle meal plan and maximize results.
  • Exercise tutorials, active rest, and stretching sessions to get you moving at your best.

But Chris Hemsworth isn’t the only Thor star who’s been working out intensely. Natalie Portman has also been working out for her role as the new God of Thunder. The actress was spotted during filming and looked quite hero-like on the set of Thor: Love and Thunder.

Thor: Love and Thunder is the latest installment in the Thor franchise and is intended to be a direct sequel to 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok. It is also the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is directed by Taika Waititi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. This will be the ninth appearance of Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Starring alongside Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster are Tessa Thompson, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, and Jeff Goldblum. Academy Award winner Christian Bale will make his MCU debut as Gorr the God Butcher. Russell Crowe also is confirmed to have a cameo appearance as Zeus, the King of the Olympians.

Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled for release on May 6, 2022.
