Chris Evans didn't show them off in the Marvel movies, but the guy has a couple of chest tattoos that sent fans spinning on social media.

Chris Evans will likely forever be known as Captain America. That’s what happens when you play one of the most iconic characters in one of the biggest movie franchises ever. It would be interesting to know though what the Steve Rogers version of the character would think of the stylistic choices the actor Chis Evans had made. Specifically, I don’t get the sense that Cap’ is a tattoo kind of guy, but that’s the case for Evans who (slightly) revealed he has (at least) a couple of chest tattoos that we didn’t know about in the films.
Twitter was abuzz with this news about Chris Evans and the actor’s ink when he appeared on an interview with ACE Universe to discuss upcoming roles and a variety of other things about the actor’s life. The social media folks wasted no time chiming in about what they saw peeking out above Evans’ shirt.
And though it’s not in this particular interview, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Chris Evans and the full array of tattoos he’s gotten over the years. These aren’t just limited to the chest area. He’s put in work on the ink front.
You can watch the whole interview here if you like, it lasts about a half-hour and has some insight into Chris Evans and what the future holds for his acting roles. Of course, that isn’t what fans cared all that much about seeing as how they were in a tizzy about the ink. It’s not uncommon, of course, to have tattoos at this point. They are just commonplace. But the reason fans may have gone nuts over them for Evans is they do seem to stand in stark contrast to his iconic Captain America character who was presented as homegrown and apple pie as they come in the films.
Chris Evans played Captain America in eight of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. He came on the scene in Captain America: The First Avenger and his title movies ended up being some of the best the universe had to handle with Winter Solider acting as an espionage spy film and Civil War being one of the first that really put the group at odds with each other.
There have been rumors of him possibly returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point in the same role, but those are unconfirmed at this point. And we already know the latest show The Falcon and the Winter Solider decided to go a completely different, and frankly rather surprising, direction with the character. But this being the world of comic book movies and shows, we know that a character is gone only until he/ she isn’t anymore. Things can change quickly and I’d be shocked if we didn’t see Evans back in some way for a project in the future.
In the meantime, Chris Evans has plenty going on in the non-Marvel acting world. He’s set to star in Don’t Look Up along with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence in Adam McKay’s comedy about the end of the world. Plus he’s currently filming The Gray Man in which he’s teaming back up with Anthony and Joe Russo about a CIA operative looking to uncover a mysterious plot. So there’s a lot going on for the actor. I doubt any of these new roles have him breaking out the chest ink though.
