Just days after showing off the sparkly Chanel outfit she wore at the 2022 Academy Awards, Brie Larson is turning heads once more. In a post on social media, the actress showed off her latest fashion choice. Accompanying the image was a fitting caption that said, “Working on being a fashion girlie in 2022.” Looking fiercely stunning, the 32-year-old Marvel star rocked a black velvet corset with dainty gold hooks.
The Victorian era top was accessorized with a micro shrug which featured sleeves of different lengths and a choker with a medium-sized buckle detail. This added a punk-rock feel to her entire look Brie Larson kept her makeup minimal, with just enough blush to show off her cheekbones. The Oscar winner wore her blonde hair in a slicked-back up style. On her hands, she wore nude nail polish which was highlighted by the rose gold iPhone she used to take the mirror selfie.

Brie Larson is known for having a rather active social media presence. The star shares posts about various things across Instagram and Twitter. From candid shots on her couch to training videos for a new movie role, there isn’t much she isn’t willing to share. But this approach got the 21 Jump Street star in a bit of hot water with fans recently. On March 17th, the actress faced major backlash for revealing that she had bought her own non-fungible token from the Flower Girls collection.
According to the Independent, the NFT is designed by Varvara Alay and reportedly donates a portion of all its sales to a range of children’s charities. “Welcome to my ‘Lil corner of the @some_place metaverse,” Brie Larson wrote on Twitter. “Can’t wait to welcome you all in soon.”

Unfortunately, fans were not too happy with Brie Larson’s announcement. And they wasted no time in expressing their disappointment. “Brie you’re going down a path a path I can’t follow,” one fan wrote. While another said she’s really working hard to alienate the fans that stuck by her side all these years. A different Twitter user referenced the digital version of the star that is seen getting coffee in the NFT, stating: “Brie you can get coffee in real life.”
Mildly controversial decisions aside, Brie Larson is currently preparing to suit up as Captain Marvel once more for 2023’s The Marvels. Directed by Nia DaCosta from a screenplay by Megan McDonnell, the movie will be a direct sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel and a continuation of the upcoming Disney+ series Ms. Marvel.
Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, The Marvels will be the 31st film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Plot details are currently under wraps. But the story is said to be based on the limited edition Marvel Comics series of the same name. Starring alongside Brie Larson as Carol Danvers is Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.
