Brie Larson has been pretty active on social media, sharing pictures of her pets, a giant pretzel, and more. Most recently, the Marvel star revealed her Halloween spirit in a snap that featured Michael Myers looming in the background. “I asked where the confetti was and this guy named Michael escorted me to this aisle,” she wrote on Instagram.
Although Brie Larson has mostly cropped herself out of the picture, her hair and blouse give off some major Laurie Strode vibes. So it’s not surprising that the party store employee, decked out in Michael Myers’ boiler suit with a butcher knife in hand, made the perfect companion for the impromptu photo-op. Unfortunately, the Oscar-nominated actress didn’t give fans a look at her Halloween costume this year.
The last time she shared her spooky season outfit was in 2019. And she almost broke the internet with her Britney Spears look which was based on the singer’s “Baby One More Time” music video from 1998. Pairing knee-high socks with a pleated skirt and cropped shirt, the 33-year-old looked the part as she aimlessly twirled her hair. At the time, thoughtful fans said Brie Larson’s choice of outfit was perfect since Captain Marvel was set in the ‘90s.
Although she’s had a quiet year, the actress will star in several projects in 2023. She will star as Elizabeth Zott in Apple TV+’s 1960s drama, Lessons in Chemistry. Based on Bonnie Garmus’ novel of the same name, the story follows an aspiring scientist who is fired from her job after becoming pregnant as she starts hosting a cooking show, where she teaches housewives about the value of independence and the intricacies of food science.
The actress will also appear as Tess in Fast X. Also known as Fast & Furious 10, the movie sees Louis Leterrier at the helm with Justin Lin and Dan Mazeau handling writing duties. Although her role remains unclear within the story, Brie Larson will appear alongside franchise stars like Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, John Cena, and Jordana Brewster.
It is set for release on May 19, 2023, with a sequel following in February 2024. But the most highly anticipated Brie Larson project is The Marvels. The film is directed by Nia DaCosta from a script by Megan McDonnell.
The story begins when Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, and Monica Rambeau swap places every time they use their powers. As a result, the trio teams up to figure out the cause. The movie is set for release on July 28, 2023, as part of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Along with Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, and Teyonah Parris, The Marvels also features Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. Saagar Shaikh, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur reprise their respective roles from Ms. Marvel, while Zawe Ashton has been tapped to play a villain. Park Seo-Joon also joined the cast in an undisclosed role.
