See Brie Larson Brag About Having A Very Weird Glow
In her latest social media post, Brie Larson celebrates how the lighting makes her look.
Brie Larson recently took to Instagram to share a series of photos taken during the golden hour. The images see the actress looking fabulous in the natural dusky lighting. The shots are candid, with The Marvels star wearing a black Adidas jacket and minimal makeup. Her blonde hair is pulled off her face in a neat bun.
“Golden hour glow,” Brie Larson wrote in the caption. The phrase “golden hour” has multiple meanings depending on the context. In photography, it refers to the period of time just before the sun sets or after it rises, when the light is redder and softer than usual, giving photographs a unique quality.
In medicine, it refers to the first 60 minutes after a traumatic injury.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe alum was obviously referring to the former. Brie Larson’s social media trends vary from casual and promotional posts to fun transformation videos. She is also known for showing off her workouts and has participated in the 10-year challenge by posting a photograph of herself eating pizza alongside a picture of herself 10 years prior.
One of her more recent posts was in honor of Superhero Day, where she posed alongside her co-stars Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani. “Shout out to the superheroes that inspire and empower us on screen and in our everyday lives,” Brie Lasron wrote in the caption before wishing everyone a Happy National Superhero Day.
National Superhero Day is celebrated on April 28 each year to honor real and fictional superheroes. The unofficial holiday was first observed in 1995 when employees from Marvel Comics ventured into the world to ask children what superpowers they would want to have if it were possible. Surprisingly, most kids talked about heroes in their real lives, like doctors and firefighters.
The day is meant to celebrate our childhood superheroes and real-life heroes who keep us all safe. In terms of fictional protectors, Brie Larson will suit up as Captain Marvel when The Marvels hits theaters on November 10. The highly anticipated movie is directed by Nia DaCosta from a script by Megan McDonnell.
The story follows an investigation into a wormhole linked to the Kree, which has caused Carol Danvers’ powers to become entangled with those of Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan. That means they swap places every time one of them uses their abilities. As a result, they team up to find a solution. Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury will also appear in the film.
Meanwhile, Brie Larson has been selected as one of the eight members of the main Competition jury for The Cannes Film Festival. According to Deadline, she will serve alongside director Maryam Touzani, actor Denis Ménochet, screenwriter and director Rungano Nyoni, director Paul Dano, filmmaker Atiq Rahimi, Argentinian screenwriter Damián Szifrón, and director Julia Ducournau.
The Jury will be tasked with selecting one of the 21 films in competition for the prestigious Palme d’Or award. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony on May 27, and the closing film Elemental will follow the announcement.
