Bass Pro Shops Getting Exclusive Record From Country Megastar, Won’t Be Available Digitally
A new Garth Brooks collection, entitled Garth Brooks The Limited Series 7-Disc Box Set, is slated for a November 7 release. But here’s the kicker: the album won’t be available on digital outlets, and can only be purchased physically at Bass Pro Shops.
The box set will include the country star’s self-produced 14th studio album, Time Traveler, in addition to a number of his past works, including Man Against Machine, Gunslinger, Fun, and his 2019 Triple Live concert album.
Garth Brook’s New Album Won’t Be Available To Stream
This new release is in line with Garth Brook’s refusal to license his music to streaming platforms like Spotify or Apple Music, although you can stream his past music exclusively on Amazon Music. Though we’ve been able to stream his back catalog since 2016, when he worked out an exclusive contract with Amazon, a representative for Brooks has said that Time Traveler will not be released as a standalone album, and will not be available for streaming.
Without seeing the contract, we’re not sure if this will change in the future, and for the time being the only way to access the new album will be through purchasing the upcoming physical release.
Pre-Orders Are Now Available, But Selling Out Fast
If you’re an avid Garth Brooks fan, and can’t live without the new box set, you’ll be pleased to know that the box set is currently available for pre-order on Bass Pro Shop’s website ahead of its official release. The bad news is that Garth Brooks is the second-highest best-selling artist of all time with over 157 million unit sales, and Bass Pro Shops can’t guarantee that there will be enough copies to go around to actually stock the shelves on November 7.
The Box Set Is Very Affordable
If you’re worried about price, you can breathe a sigh of relief. Box set releases often cost a pretty penny, but Garth Brooks The Limited Series 7-Disc Box Set in its entirety will only cost $29.95. Though in-store purchases (while supplies last) will be possible on November 7, the pre-orders will ship out between November 27 and December 4.
We strongly recommend taking the pre-order approach and waiting a little longer, because if past sales are any indication of future performance, it’s safe to say that this new offering will sell faster than new copies can be produced and put on shelves.
Garth Brooks Has A Las Vegas Show Running Through July 2024
If physical media isn’t enough for you and you want to see Garth Brooks live, his Las Vegas residency runs through July 2024. But just like his albums, tickets are selling fast for the upcoming 27 events, and you’ll want to purchase them sooner rather than later if you are a die-hard fan. As of this writing, there are still plenty of tickets for sale, but some events will be selling out in the very near future.

But that’s not all that Garth Brooks has been up to these days. To celebrate the opening night of his Friends In Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk in Nashville, Brooks will be performing a concert on November 24, the day after Thanksgiving.
