The Emily the Criminal actress rolled up to the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards wearing a revealing gold dress that harkened back to the Hollywood glamor of a bygone era. Plaza praised the dress and credited her style team in a post on Instagram after the event.
The custom dress by luxury fashion brand Michael Kors was the centerpiece of Plaza’s SAG Awards ensemble. The glittering gold gown featured two straps over Plaza’s shoulders, crossing across her chest, exposing a large section of her midriff. A high slit up the left leg set off the bold gown, showing Plaza’s toned figure.
Aubrey Plaza captioned her post, “Best dress ever! Best date ever! Best team ever! Thank you @michaelkors for this beautiful custom dress making me feel like a 70’s movie star.” The date in question was Plaza’s Parks and Recreation co-star, Amy Poehler. Plaza was in attendance both as a presenter and a nominee for her work in HBO’s The White Lotus.
To present the award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a TV movie or limited series, Aubrey Plaza teamed up with Jenna Ortega. The pair took the stage in awkward silence, claiming to have nothing in common. Plaza suggested, “We should find the people who did this,” before Ortega and Plaza simultaneously said, “and curse their families, and watch as misfortune follows their bloodline for the next seven generations.”

She is currently in production on her first outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Aubrey Plaza will join Kathryn Hahn in an undisclosed role for the Disney+ series Agatha: Coven of Chaos. The witch tale will follow Hahn’s WandaVision character, Agnes, revealed in that series as the witch Agatha Harkness. Plaza is also on board the animated film The Ark and the Aardvark, which features the voices of Miles Teller, Jenny Slate, and Tim Robinson.
Fans can catch Aubrey Plaza in theaters this Friday with the release of Guy Ritchie’s latest action/comedy, Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre.
