Along with her theatrical talent, Oscar winner Anne Hathaway has also been blessed with a pair of wonderful legs and she knows how to draw attention to them. That’s certainly the case in an image posted recently to a popular Hathaway fan account, featuring the Armageddon Time star in gold thigh-high boots. We don’t know exactly when the snaps were taken, but in what’s proven to be a stellar year fashion-wise for the actor, it wouldn’t be surprising if it was taken in the last few months.
This past summer, fashion watchers began noticing a stunning and welcome rebranding of the Princess Diaries alum. In June, Vogue reported on Anne Hathaway’s new style courtesy of her courtesy of celebrity stylist Erin Walsh. Walsh has counted Maggie Gyllenhaal, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kerry Washington among her clients.
Anne Hathaway had previously worked with stylist Law Roach — whose own impressive clientele list has included Zendaya, Venus Williams, and Lindsay Lohan — but Vogue and others seem to feel Hathway’s change was refreshing and more than welcome. The publication called the actor’s transformation from the coastal grandma trend to her new Walsh-supported bombshell style “positively glorious.” Outlets have continued to comment on Hathaway’s rebranding positively; no doubt in part helped by her promotional work for projects like Armageddon Time and the AppleTV+ miniseries WeCrashed.
Along with showing off her legs regularly in exciting and sexy footwear, golds and yellows seem to be favorites of Anne Hathaway’s regardless of the stylist. Back in 2020, as reported at the time by Today, the actor’s shimmering gold gown was one of the high points of that year’s Critics’ Choice Awards.
In Anne Hathaway’s most recent big-screen appearance — James Gray’s semi-autobiographical Armageddon Time — the actor had a much more understated fashion sense than usual, as the 80s mother Esther Graff. Gray’s film didn’t get perfect marks from critics, but the star-studded ensemble cast — including Jeremy Strong (Succession), Banks Repeta (The Black Phone), Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs), and Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) — received few complaints from the reviewers.
Anne Hathaway has a lot of big projects on the way, including the Amazon Prime original The Idea of You, about a divorced mother who starts an affair with the lead singer of a boy band. But the one that longtime fans are doubtless the most excited about is The Princess Diaries 3. Confirmed to be in development by Disney, the threequel will potentially see Hathaway return to the role of Mia Thermopolis, but so far the reports cast doubt on Julie Andrews returning as Queen Clarisse.
