Ana De Armas Looks Incredible In Pink And Lacy Gown
Ana de Armas wore an elegant lacy pink dress to the 2023 British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards.
Ana de Armas showed off her impeccable sense of style in a new post on social media. The image sees the 34-year-old actress in a pink-hued Louis Vuitton gown which she wore for the 2023 British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards. The event was held at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday, February 19.
“BAFTA that was so much fun,” Ana de Armas wrote in the accompanying caption. “Thank you for an amazing night. Congratulations to everyone, winners, and nominees for the stunning work. Much love.” The James Bond franchise alum also thanked her style and makeup team for putting together her glamorous look for the evening.
The Cuban native looked sensational as she posed in the floor-length dress, with its train sweeping the floor behind her. The outfit featured a sweetheart neckline with ruffled lace detail around the bodice.
Ana de Armas kept her makeup pretty simple for the evening, with pink blush highlighting her pretty features. Her bold red lipstick provided a splash of added color to her otherwise muted color scheme. The actress completed her looks with a silver necklace, silver ring, and high-heeled, pink sandals. Naturally, fans filled the comments sections with heart and fire emojis.
The actress was nominated in the BAFTA Award’s Best Leading Actress category alongside Danielle Deadwyler, Michelle Yeoh, Emma Thompson, Viola Davis, and Cate Blanchett. Although her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in Blonde was highly praised, the award ultimately went to Blanchett for her role in the psychological drama, Tár.
Meanwhile, Ana de Armas can be found on the cover of Vanity Fair’s annual Hollywood Issue. As part of her Vanity Fair profile, Ana de Armas revealed that she will be taking a break from action movies. As such, Ballerina will be her last outing in the genre for some time. “I’m craving a wave of Blonde-type films,” the 34-year-old said, referencing her role as Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe in the controversial biopic.
The Knives Out star also blamed social media for diluting the mystery of a movie star. “I feel like the new generations don’t have that concept because of social media,” Ana de Armas said. She explained that this is largely due to over-sharing and the volume of information available online. “That mystery is gone,” she said. “We’ve done that to ourselves. Nobody’s keeping anything from anyone anymore.”
Ana de Armas has deleted all her social media platforms except for Instagram. But she admits that’s only out of necessity. “If it was up to me, I would delete it right now, but I can’t. I understand that I’m not just an actress. I have other brands that I’m working with and I have other commitments,” she added.
She also revealed that while most things are “wrong” on social media, the platform has been good for Blonde. “It’s tricky because you feel the pressure to share some personal insight, or something about your private life, to keep people interested in you,” Ana De Armas added. She noted that finding the right balance is something she finds rather difficult.
