Alison Brie, star of the former Netflix hit series GLOW has a new movie out, the romantic-comedy-thriller Spin Me Round. Brie, along with several of her co-stars, was in attendance for a special preview screening of the film at The London West Hollywood on August 17th. The actress posted her red-carpet look on Instagram, allowing her followers to see her in an alluring red dress.

Alison Brie can be seen sporting a stunning red dress from the fashion brand David Koma, and the look, which was complimented by shoes from Christian Louboutin and jewellery from Nouvel Heritage, isn’t too dissimilar to the one Brie sports in the film’s poster, which she also treated her 1.4 million Instagram followers to last month in anticipation for Spin Me Round’s release. The film, written and directed by Jeff Baena (whose credits include writing and directing Life After Beth), sees Brie star as Amber, who wins an all-expenses trip to Italy backed by the restaurant chain that employs her, allowing her to meet the company’s eccentric owner, played by Allessandro Nivola (The Many Saints of Newark) and things quickly take an unexpected turn as Amber becomes embroiled in romance and a sinister mystery that circles Nivola’s character. Joining Brie and Nivola in the cast are the likes of Aubrey Plaza, Debby Ryan and Molly Shannon, you can see the trailer for the film (available to watch now in Cinemas and on AMC+) below.

Alison Brie was in attendance at the Spin Me Round premiere with her husband Dave Franco. Franco, a successful actor in his own right, has a lot to celebrate himself, as like his wife he presently has a new movie available to audiences, Day Shift. The Netflix original sees Franco star alongside leading man Jamie Foxx. The Ray star plays a disgraced vampire hunter looking to collect enough bounty to prevent his estranged wife and daughter from moving across the country. Franco is a by-the-numbers office drone assigned by a bureaucratic Vampire hunting agency to make sure the formerly disgraced Foxx doesn’t step out of line. The film, which was number one on Netflix until today (August 19), also stars Snoop Dogg as one of the coolest Vampire hunters ever put to screen.

As well as having a marital bond on the Spin Me Round red-carpet courtesy of Alison Brie and Dave Franco, there is also a marital connection within the film itself. Brie’s co-star Aubrey Plaza is married to the film’s writer and director Jeff Baena. Amazingly, this is the fourth indie project that Brie and Baena have worked on together and it is the second project that they have collaborated on as writers. Previously Brie has appeared in Baena’s Showtime series Cinema Toast and the 2017 movie The Little Hours. Brie co-wrote the 2020 movie Horse Girl with Baena, which he directed and Brie played the lead role. Clearly, both Alison Brie and Jeff Baena enjoy working together and the pair have created some truly unique pieces of cinema and television in the past, it is no wonder then that Brie was so keen to celebrate their latest project with that iconic red look at the Spin Me Round premiere.
